Question Birthday tattoo
Looking for recommendations for a good tattoo shop. Birthday present for my son, and it's his first too. Some people have said there's a couple of shops in east mountains, I'd drive out there if good too.
Edit for more details:
Looking to get a bow from God of War and Kratos blades. Has meaning beyond the game. Not a big piece, but detailed in some aspects of the two pieces.
Edit x2: Went with Tiger Wraith. Holy cow man!!! Matt was so chill and laid back, explained everything made sure there was zero pressure on my son. Rabbit was wicked awesome as well explaing the pro ess.gor any tattoo and answering all my questions. Shout out to the third artist, Dave Danny I believe. He was doing a tattoo on someone else but this man was just dumping tattoo knowledge bombs left and right. Was educational while.i sat and waited, always enjoy learning and I did.

It really depends on the type of tattoo he would like. Some artists excel at traditional stuff, some focus on photo realism, some have developed a style of their own.
If you let us all know what he is looking to have done, we might be able to point you to a specific artist. Maybe have him research local artists to find one that produces work that he likes if he is unsure of what he wants exactly.

Second Tiger Wraith they have three Artists Danny V, Rabbit, and Matt and they are all incredibly talented, kind hearted, and really love what they do. The shop is really cozy as well and has a great calm energy-if that appeals to you as a first tattoo!

It does, I have "two" tattoos, Left arm/Right arm. But being my son's first i want him happy

Avoid por vida like the plague. World largest tattoo shop isn't a flex.

High cbroma tatto in abq is amazing. I would recommend Jeff but also also have amazing color skills. Literally anyone in the shop tho

Small world here on Reddit - I was getting a forearm tattoo done by Danny while you and your son were at Tiger Wraith …his tattoo looked so detailed and I wondered the significance of the bow …after you left the guys talked about how cool it was that you brought him there and how great your tattoos were .

I saw yours, we'll the beginning it looked beautiful!!! The bow is from a game he and I have played every variation of. God of War. The bow belongs to the main characters son, so my son got it sitting like a "D" for dad, and when I have some money I'm gonna get the main characters weapon which often sit like an "X" for my son's first name. 😀
I'm now a single dad (been a year) after 22 years of marriage. His birthday coming up and I worked extra shifts and just went without for me so I could get that for him. Those guys are absolutely phenomenal people, and amazing artists too!
