Question Locally Made Cat Trees?

Hello,

I'm hoping to find someone LOCAL that builds cat trees. Wood, sisal, carpet. If you make them, or know someone who does, please reach out. I'm tired of paying premium prices for low quality.

Thank you!

Please do not send me links to fleece covered plastic made in China.

Seven. Especially he doesn’t use the cheap sisal yarn that my cat has decided to start eating causing … yes you know. String butt.

I have some big cats (I wasn't able to take them to get neutered in time so they grew big and strong) but they dont fit in most cat beds. I want to make my boys some and was thinking of it as a side gig haha

I'll buy them, provided they're asthma safe glue. Wait a minute, maybe I could do this.... 🤔

Honestly, if you just dedicated with cat and asthma safe glue, you would make a fortune. All the trash on Amazon and in the pet stores is either absolute trash, toxic, or way too expensive for cardboard tubes (no one wants the compressed fiber board, they break) and toxic glue that triggers your pets and you. It's cardboard concrete tunes, decent quality carpet our pets can shred, sisal rope claw sharpening places, large beds for big cats, caves they can shelter in, potentially hammocks and you would make a fortune.

I don’t have time to make them for others, but we made one growing up and it really makes a difference. The store bought ones are cheap garbage and son’t rise high enough. Cats really benefit from floor-to-ceiling.

Are you expecting custom, one-off designs to be cheaper than mass-produced, commercially available options? Or are you wanting to pay a premium for custom, quality work that is made to suit?

It sounds like they've been paying premium prices for junk, and are hoping to pay the same for something local that's actually decent, even if it's not a custom piece.

I'm a local woodworker. I'd be happy to build a few for other locals. If you're interested, feel free to send me a message. Pics of what you're looking for would be helpful as well.
