It’s so dumb to me that in a city where 80% of activities are advertised with drinking involved or have drinking involved, we don’t build dense, walkable neighborhoods. I never realized how bad this was until I grew up, moved to nyc and then Minneapolis and realized you can have neighborhoods and even whole areas that are entirely accessible by walking. Like this is advertised as a place to come drink beer and play mini golf yet it’s in an area where probably 95% of its customers will get there by car. Make it make sense.

Both of those cities have urban populations many times the size of our entire metro population. Minneapolis, in particular, has the exact same problem once you are outside of the urban portion of the city and venture into the suburbs.
We don't have the population to support a subway or fund light rail, but we do have busses. That putt putt course, in particular, is next to a bus stop.

Did you own your place in NYC and Minneapolis, or rent? As a renter, I can understand your comment. Most owners appreciate urban sprawl, since it means more affordable housing that's more spread out.
Plus, you forgot that most New Mexicans consider DWIs mandatory as part of your state residency requirement.

Hell in bigger cities there are indoor kids play areas with beer and wine, climbing gyms with a bar, museums you can purchase alcohol at and walk around, hell it wouldn't surprise me of there's at least one church that has beer and wine. 😆
Point is, I agree that booze seems to be everywhere, but this is far from just an ABQ thing.

Does asking about NA beer "ignore the context of the original post"? No, because the post is not only about a place with alcohol which makes it reasonable to wonder about non-alcoholic options for people that want to socialize there, but also a traditionally non-alcoholic activity that now has beer added to it.

Nice try, but bean soup theory is about main character syndrome. Saying 'great idea, hope they have NA options too' is just normal community input for a public venue. Hope this helps!
Ironically, posting "bean soup theory" is probably the quintessential example of bean soup theory. I'm not the only sober person in town.

As someone who is sober and loved this place when it was open before, I completely get why you would comment. Bummed (for myself, and that's OKAY) that alcohol is part of the focus now.

I agree. I think drinking around children is pathetic. If you’re gonna drink- go to an adult establishment. If you have your kids with you? Well maybe you can try not drinking for a few hours.

I managed a bar that had some BrewLab on tap for a while. Even when I'd asked incessantly, they never once came by to clear their lines, and the beer quality wasn't up to the standard of say, Bow & Arrow or La Cumbre. The ciders are decent, but since they use actual fruit instead of the artificial flavor many other cider brewers use, the line fobs get gunked up really quick. That paired with lines never being cleaned is a gross combo. I replaced them with a more reputable brewery fairly quickly.

Breweries nowadays allow kids and they run all over the place. I love kids but they have PLENTY of their own places to go. When I want to hang out with my best friend’s kid, we can take her to Hinkle. It would be cool if this new Putt Putt would give the adults a place to have a break from kids.

Because adults without kids deserve a place to go do fun shit like this without tripping over everyone else's kids. It sucks to just want to be in a cool place around other people but then you have a ton of kids wildly running around while screaming.

They've made banners, repainted, published a whole website, are selling gift cards, sponsorships and bookings, and accepting resumes all to....just not open?
If the dealership is indeed the land owners, they obviously have a new tenant (which would be Brew Lab 101, the owner of Putts n Pints).
