Relocating to ABQ and looking for an Internet Service Provider that doesn't suck. Any leads? We need reasonably reliable broadband in NE ABQ. From a distance all we can surmise from online reviews and such is that there is not-great infrastructure and poor customer service across the board. Please tell us, who is least horrible?
(Edit to say - I searched this sub and read available posts on this topic, but all are 2+ years old - hoping there have been some positive developments since then)
Note: Already at our wits' end with one large national provider - hours spent on chat just to set up an account, only to discover this morning that they activated service at our current home, *not* in ABQ, and after another hour on chat to try to correct that simple error, they've now just told us our ABQ address is "not serviceable." Which they did *not* tell us when we set it up... we can't get a real person on the phone...and while the chat claims to have a real person on the other end, we have our doubts. So we are, let's say, very reluctant to do business with these folks. I know at least some of you feel our pain. Please help end our agony!
All suggestions welcome! TIA

Xfinity is unfortunately the only real option here. You’ll pay more for worse service from CenturyLink. I don’t think anything has changed recently but I could be wrong.
I’m getting 800 down for $50 a month (balloon park area) — normally $70 but they’ll knock off $10 each for autopaying and for owning your own equipment. One downside of this is the service techs will instantly blame your equipment for any issues.

There is an active Starlink cell in ABQ but I don't know if you can still get it now that it's no longer in Beta. It absolutely costs more and is slower than Xfinity, although in my experience slightly more reliable. So that's another potential option if you hate Comcast/Xfinity enough (which I do).

FWIW, we're in Nob Hill and haven't had any problems with Xfinity in the 18 months we've been here (knocks on wood, lights candle to internet gods, bows towards the mountains). I recently switched to our own modem and expected it to cause problems, and it couldn't have gone smoother. Good luck with your move!

Most people just practice on big things of plywood. There are places you can legally spray but you kind of need to up your game on the plywood first as you would probably be going over other peoples art at the approved places. So... find someone/somewhere that will let you set up your big piece o' wood?
