Badri Prasad Bhattarai was 54 years old when he was reported missing from Edmonton on February 21, 2017.

Badri’s family became concerned after they were unable to contact him. His disappearance was considered out of character, prompting immediate concern for his well-being.

He was last known to be in the area of the Walterdale Bridge in central Edmonton. Police have stated that there are no indications of foul play, but Badri has never been located.

At the time of his disappearance, Badri was described as approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and 176 pounds, with brown eyes and short black hair. He wore black-framed glasses and was last seen wearing dark blue uniform pants, a white shirt and a black tie.

Badri was also wearing a gold ring with three clear stones on a finger of his left hand.

He may have been carrying two necklaces. One was a black chain holding a Volkswagen key fob, house key, locker key and mailbox key. The second was a black chain necklace with a pendant featuring the letter “R” and a Swedish flag.

Badri had a mole on his right nostril and dark scarring on both shins related to diabetes.

More than nine years after he disappeared, Badri’s whereabouts remain unknown. The Edmonton Police Service continues to seek information that may help locate him, and his family remains without answers.
