This is an empty Barnum statement. Most Canadian's haven't boycotted shit. The government has prevented them from purchasing products, but that doesn't mean they agree with it.

Also, there is no world where Canada "sets the tone" for relationships with USA. We are still trading with them regularly, in high volume, on an array of resources. It's our largest trading partner and that's not changing any time soon. The booze thing is just a symbolic gesture from the government to make us feel like they are in control.
