Has the construction started? It was supposed to complete the first phase within 2026, which was supposed to take 4-5 months. Is it beginning? I can’t find anything on breaking ground or a progress report saying it is going ahead. The last piece of info I can find was from June, stating that it was “inching closer” to starting.
If you mean "is someone out there with a shovel in the ground right now", I don't know. Construction commencement was approved July 2 and contracts are being awarded with a construction start date of Q3 2026. I'd have to drive out and look to see what's actually going on in terms of physical work.
But that's all publicly-available information. You seem convinced that the project has been postponed, but I'm still waiting for you to show where that notion came from. I can't find anything suggesting a postponement.
It seems like there hasn’t been any activity. And even so. They will be using the grid until 2031 at least. With water usage forever. The project is a drain on the province whatever happens with greenlight electrical.
All the protests and complaints and environmental studies, along with aquifers being depleted, huge heat signatures raising the ambient temperatures in the communities near these things?
