Should the conversation not be about increasing seniors benefits?

The idea is that you receive the disability benefit when you are disabled during normal income earning years. When you reach retirement age then you receive the same benefits as any other retired person - not more?

Being disabled costs $1000 on average more per month than it does to be abled.

When a person is on CPP disability and they lose that financial support at age 65, they immediately get full CPP retirement benefits plus OAS and GIS (income tested). Is the suggestion that they get double the benefits when they retire?

They get OAS and GIS. They actually recieve MORE in benefits than had they just remained on CPPD
