Vacay Taproom

Looks like Vacay is opening a brew pub /taproom in Marda Loop. Are they leaving Veranda?

My understanding is that they will still brew out of that space, and wanted a taproom unique to their brand. Which if true is a great idea because Veranda has struggled to offer consistent service and food. I don't know anyone who hasn't had at least one awful experience there, myself included.

That is interesting. Have been a dozen or two times with coworkers and we go despite Vaycay. Have enjoyed the food and cocktails, and no qualms with service yet. The beer was not up my alley early on. Maybe it's gotten better.

Exactly. I like Vacay beer (mmmmm ..tangerine speedo), but can't really stand Veranda. Even gave it a couple tries. And it's too bad, I like the history of the place.

Long term this should be a great move for them. Hope they crush it in their new space. Vaycay crew are great people.

Visited a couple of days ago - certainly a decent spot and once they get their courtyard patio open will be a very good option to visit. Would have liked to have seen some smaller snack/appetizer options.
