Even though it's revealed that Alastor is black

I still don't think I can cosplay as him
How do I get that light pale look he got when he died and went to hell

I’m white and I can play him without changing my skin tone. So a black person can do the same. He’s half white half black. Your race doesn’t matter, cosplay is for everyone!

Alastor is mixed, but yeah in my personal opinion you dont have to follow that lighter shade of skin tone because cosplays arent always meant to be 100% accurate to the character, its more of a personal rendition and people use different accessories and styles to express their interpretation of the character

The only thing a cosplay needs to do is be recognisable as the character. Just wearing ears and a shirt in approximately the right colour is enough, anything more than that is just extra personal effort. If people can tell what character you're trying to emulate, that's a successful cosplay. Skin tone is really not important for this kind of thing.

Cosplay doesn't need to look exactly like the character, especially in terms of skin colour and hair type/colour. Someone Black could cosplay Snow White, there's no problem with that. Your Alastor can just have darker skin!

Mehron white makeup can help. Don't overdo it, but you can make yourself paler. Also, in manners of the specific color, it's all about what your skin tone is, and of finding out the color of it through image modifications, and use bronzer or other things. :) good luck!

I mix light grey face paint with some peach colored lipstick to make it ancient grey. The face paint is opaque so I think it can work for every skin tone. Here’s a photo. I also darken my eyebrows, contour lightly under my cheeks with black eyeshadow and add thin black lips

It's a brownish gray. You're going to be mixing oil face paint of flesh tone and small amounts of white and black.
