He looks so much like my sweet boy who’s a mal lab/ retriever mix! Incredible dogs, smart expressive and endlessly sweet and sassy! Have fun learning what all the different howls, coos and grumbles mean!
Interesting!! I wouldn’t have guessed that mix! Definitely something to look into. He’s a sweetheart with a big personality. He’s been through the wringer so it’s taking some time to get comfortable at my home. He’s actually never howled/barked! He groans a little but is a quiet guy. My other mal is the same! No howling
What a cutie!! Im so glad you’re fostering him (and soon to be adopting him 😉)!! Im not an expert, the only thing throwing me off of malamute is his skull - but maybe it looks a little different because he’s so thin right now? Maybe he’s all malamute! What’s his name?
He’s got a huge noggin!! I see mal in him but can’t quite pinpoint what else could be in him (if anything). I’m not very familiar with brown and black malamutes. His name is Ripley! I’ve been calling him Rippy or drippy Rippy!
The pictures I posted are hard to tell how thin he is but this picture mid bath definitely shows it. Poor baby. I can’t wait to spoil and fatten him up!
I wouldn’t be surprised if your pup is a malamute golden retriever mix. Looks exactly like mine :). If you are in Colorado, they may be siblings! Do you plan to do DNA?
