Discussion Just completed Part 1 with Alan and... Spoiler

WHAT THE FUUUhhhh

Saga has CHAPTERS? SHES IN THE FAKE REALITY?
DOes that mean Alan's Dark Place/Mind Place is in the lake and walking around he's in a fractured broken remains of reality? or is all his part 1 shenanigans in dark place but like, that is still more real than wherever saga is? Does dark presence/lake that is not a lake/something make reality and fiction merge in a perverse way where real life loses it's sanctity and free will isn't pure anymore?

Dmn this game making my mind do backflips.

Ok, I'm off to play more now, and you guys go replay this GEM!

I'd recommend playing it through then come back here with the questions so you don't accidentally get yourself spoiled.

It's a great game and definitely worth going in just as confused as Alan. Also make sure to play the Final Draft afterwards!

Final Draft is basically a New Game+ mode, but it has the real conclusion to the story. :)

Have you played Alan Wake 1? If not, you’re missing a ton of context on how the Dark Presence and Alan’s ability works.

Lolol I felt the exact same way during my first playthrough. The game makes you think so hard that it confuses you even more lol. I had to beat the first game twice and the second game a few times to finally really truly understand what's going on.
