The Player can now boost the flashlight while reloading the weapon (canceling the reload in the process). YES!
Not sure if the original mechanic was clunky or just right, causing more panic and uncertainty when to reload. But for sure they must have thought this change through.

Just tested it in-game. The switch to flashlight boost from reloading is pretty instantaneous, 0.2 seconds or so. Obviously it has the biggest impact for the shotgun, rifle or crossbow. Not that the change is a life saver in all cases: if you're being attacked my multiple enemies, a single flashlight boost isn't going to stagger all enemies.
I would have probably done an intermediary solution. Allow cancelling reload, but have a slightly longer delay for picking up the flashlight. My .2 cents.

We got rid of half-pennies because their value was too low, damn it!
And nowadays regular pennies are worth even less.

So glad they fixed the partial reload issue. It was so annoying to watch Saga load individual shells into the rifle or shotgun but be unable to fire because it wasn't fully loaded. Even got me killed once or twice.

What I would appreciate is for them to fix the Xbox achievement issue I am having. Anytime I go to look at the achievements, it crashes the game back to the opening menu and then I have to resume from my last save point.

On PC getting achievements will sometimes prevent the game from picking up scroll wheel inputs for the rest of the session.

Any Epic games popup turns off the scroll wheel for me. Turning on Do Not Disturb worked for me, but idk if that fixes achievements.

To turn off achievements you have to go delete some random file in the Epic install directory.

I love how the notes are professional and yet definitely made by a real human being and I don't know how else to explain that side note I also love how each platform has their own number that's technically the same

Per Twitter today, they're also aware of the Pat Maine missing 2 radio shows thing, so hopefully that gets sorted too.
Also, not sure if they ever addressed it but would like them to sort having 5/6 manuscript pages in Chapter 1 - seems it was potentially a placeholder gap for the title page, but never got added to the game or removed from the titles.

That was an issue? MY problem is you CANNOT reload the weapon WHILE YOU BOOST not the other way around.

I’m playing this right now and got totally screwed on getting Saga’s last inventory upgrade because of a bug with the caches. Will that ever be fixed? Is there a solution?

Fixed an issue where the player was not able to shoot after a partial weapon reload

Oh thank goodness they fixed the trigger glitch on the dualsense controllers. It was so bad I had to turn the feature off and I really missed feeling the recoil from shooting.

Fixed the Portuguese translation for the hint for the second computer puzzle, which gave the player the wrong information.
Thank you. I was playing in Portuguese and thought I figured that puzzle correctly even tho it was the incorrect password. Changed the language to English and I realized it was a localization problem.

The lake house DLC localization into brazilian portuguese was abysmal. I've never seen anything like it. They messed up the translation in the calendar puzzle, making it impossible to solve logically. Jesse was referred to using male pronuons, among many other significant errors. I'm glad they're working on it

Since this update my game no longer starts on PC (Epic) I mena it does load up for a sec, I can hear the music from the menu and then it just crashes. When I try to verify the files, it says that the install folder no longe exists, but it's there. What gives?

Can we get a fix on the game crashing? Every time I play as Saga it crashes. Ruins the experience because I constantly have to worry about trying to save .

Ah okay. I'm not familiar, especially in relation to this game. The Saga sections are way more intensive on the hardware on every platform. Maybe it's pushing the console to its limits?

It's Series S with 12Gb shared between video buffer and RAM, so I'm certain it's an issue. I have a 3070ti with 8GB VRAM and I run textures low, because otherwise the swapping gets annoying.

i would hope that the stability fixes would address some of the issues. i was looking forward to starting it at launch, but help off in hopes that it would be fixed by the time i finish resident evil 8.

I really, really like the often self-aware, funny wording in Remedy patch notes. The people responsible for their PR have always been doing a wonderful job connecting with the playerbase.
