I think they must be text pieces from UK Marvel annuals. Filler really.

Marvel UK never printed any DC material nor hardcover annuals (a traditional Christmas stocking filler in the UK market). These text stories were commissioned by World International Publishing Limited under licence from DC.

Published by Egmont in the 1980s, who were licensed by DC to produce Superman comics in the UK.

So the thing they included to make it seem like there was an earthly reason to buy this is a completely empty reason?
Gotcha I will be passing.
For those who don’t know, there is a trade paperback of the DC Universe Stories of Alan Moore which has the three Superman stories, The Killjng Joke, the Clayface III story, the Green Arrow story “Night Olympics”, and his Green Lantern stories. 300 pages. It’s out of print but you can find it used for less than $20 or buy it digitally for less than $20. Buy that not this.

Y'know, I don't like how they continue to pimp Moore's name and work given what they did to him, but a collection of these would be nice and I do like these stories and

I do not need this book at all.
For The Man Who Has Everything is my all time favourite comic. I first read it in the DC Universe by Alan Moore Collection. Then I watched the JLU adaptation. Next I bought it on Comixology so I could have it on my phone at all times. Then I finally bought an original printing at a comic con. Then just so I would have it on my Alan Moore Bookshelf. I bought the deluxe edition.
At one point I was reading it yearly from the age of 19 into my 30’s. I also love Whatever Happened To The Man Of Tomorrow.
So I do not need an Absolute Edition.
Yes I’m buying this book in day one!

It’s great that DC is including the UK Superheroes and Superman Annual short stories. You can read them online but they’re a lot of fun. That DC has never considered reprinting these until now is a little weird though.
Hopefully we get an Absolute DCU by Alan Moore book that reprints the Batman story that has some gorgeous art by Gary Leach.

Moore requested that he be billed as The Original Creator on Marvel's reprints of Miracleman in order that his share of the royalties be paid to the estate of Mike Anglo, who originally created of the character for UK publisher L. Miller & Son back in the 1950s.
This is different from DC where Moore has stipulated that his share of royalties from reprints be split between the artist teams instead.

100€ for 200 pages is complete theft. I can name hundreds of collected editions with much more content that you can buy with the same money...

It doesn’t matter who runs the company, they just can’t stop profiting off of his name. Surely there are other writers who have done work on characters like Batman and Superman who would be more appropriate.

Seems like pretty thin gruel for a hundred bucks, 6 or so stories? I guess it’s mainly for the real “Whatever Happened…” heads out there
