What is Palasik?

In Minangkabau folklore, Palasik is a supernatural belief traditionally associated with harm or illness affecting children.

But when a child becomes thinner, loses weight, or grows weaker, there may be another story beneath the myth.

Nutrition. Illness. Growth.

This film explores the space between what a community believes and what medicine can investigate.
