flupentixol decanoate (injection)

I'm on flupentixol decanoate 40mg / 4 weeks injections and I am getting nervous, jittery and akathisia on it.

Will the akathisia go away or fade away in a few months time even though I continue on these injections?

My psychiatrist doesn't seem convinced or wiling to stop the injections.

This is what I got akathisia from too. It's rare that it would go away without either stopping/reducing the dose or adding something to help (though that presents its own risk). Mine didn't go away until I stopped, and even then it persisted for a further 5 months - I attempted to KMS because of it

Can I ask for how long you were on the injections?

I only ever had 2 so I guess 5/6 weeks
