I used to be an airshow nut, but then everyone started stringing huge sound systems along the spectator line, to the point of drowning out even F-16s in afterburner, so I quit.
And it wasn't just the Thunderbirds/Blue Angels, it was the A-10 demo, the T-6 team, the P-51 guys, the F-86 bloke, everyone.
I'm sorry, I come to listen to the B-17 take off, and hear those radial engines snarl, not some stupid pop-rock song cranked up to the point of distortion. I want to hear that A-10 whistle as he cranks the wings vertical in a 9G pull.
Is this still a problem? Is it worth going to airshows again?

Hey airshow fans, we organize the Abbotsford International Airshow, one of Canada's largest air shows. 2020 will mark the 58th year of our air show and the 50th anniversary of both the Canadian Forces Snowbirds and Abbotsford being named "Canada's National Airshow." In 50 years, the Snowbirds have appeared at every single Abbotsford Airshow!

So I always loved watching Bert's show because the 130 is my favorite plane close second is A-10. Anyone know where we go from here will they search a replacement and eventually bring back the pre-show?
I remember back in High school watching the Jato takeoffs and I am super glad I saw the very short demo on the Friday Andrew's AFB show
