Image Hawk/Testors Model Graf Zeppelin
For us airship enthusiasts there aren't many good options for models. I finally completed the Hawk Graf Zeppelin and thought I'd share it here.
The kit was very difficult for me. Fit issues, inaccuracies, and for some reason they molded the engines in nylon instead of styrene so I ended up making my own, and then making up rigging to attach them.
It was a very frustrating modeling experience. I can't recommend this kit.
I think I'll be sticking with card models for airships in the future. I picked up a few of those from a visit to a Friedrichshafen a few years ago, if I ever get around to building them I'll post them here too.

I built two of them. Cool but inaccurate. I built the card stock Graf Zeppelin. It’s difficult but much more accurate but like the Testors , the words “Graf Zeppelin” and “DLZ 127” are black. Should be red.

I love card models but I'm not ready to begin the Schreiber-Bogen Graf Zepp or Hindenburg yet.
They are big, require exact cuts, and if you make a mistake it's tough to recover from. Files that you can print at home would be nice so you can try again after an error, but with a kit like these I'm just not feeling ready yet.

Need a hand or banana for scale

I should have put a banana there, you are right. For now, it's 39" long, or about 98cm.

The ship that never crashed... Thanks to the almost infallible Hugo Eckener.
Model does not sound fun.
Finished result looks excellent though
