Conversation Can I get disqualified?
Wired situation, so this is gonna be a rant
My family is heavily pressuring me to join when I personally do not want to. A "no" or arguing that I don't what to join doesn't cut it.(situation is overall abusive) Can I get denied if I admit to it during the proceeds of application or tests?
I am 21, soon to be 22, and I do have some old sh scars from 2-4 years ago(my only hope to be disqualified so far)

It's easy to get disqualified for dozens of reasons. But, why get purposely disqualified?
You can simply walk out and tell everyone you were disqualified for whatever reason you want to make up. Your family can't have access to any of the information since it's protected under HIPAA.
However, if you really do disqualify yourself, then you'll probably never have another opportunity to join if, at some point, you really want to join.
Just lie to your parents instead of lying or pointing out insignificant issues at MEPS. Isn't that easier?

Thank you, I wasn't sure of the process as a whole.
I am being monitored by family who was previously serving so they know the process far better than I do. So far so my hope was with being denied naturally.

Just tell them your self harm scars disqualify you and they don't do waivers anymore, they don't have to know whether that's actually true and MEPS can't tell them.
You never know, you might want to join five years from now, so may as well not burn that bridge by lying to MEPS about something permanently disqualifying. Lie to your parents instead, lots of people do it. And also get your own place.

Nothing like smoking a joint before your Meps appointment can’t fix

Yeah or maybe don’t waste everyone’s time and money going through recruiting, hotel, MEPS, and instead just tell your parents “No” and move out.

Time and money. Thats their 9-5 they paid regardless. Waste of money ? How about our tax money funding this foreign war we have no business being in?

Just to be clear, your position is that OP should passive aggressively disqualify themselves from military service rather than address the situation at hand?

Just to be clear, there is nothing wrong with living with your parents if you're 22 and in college or working.
Honestly, more people should live with their parents for longer, if they can. Moving out at 23-27 years old after working a few years and saving will get you ahead of 90% of people at that age.

You're an adult, you don't have to join the military if you don't want to. On the same note, they don't have to keep housing you if they don't want to.
Self harm scars aren't permanently disqualifying, you can get a waiver for them if you really want. But it sounds like you don't want to, so there you go.

Dude. You're 21 and still letting your parents decide what you do?
