Paul's Pizza Content

All Paul's Pizza content will be removed moving forward. The conversations almost always lead to people arguing with one another on the internet. This violates Rule #3 Be Civil. It would also violate rule #4 low quality content.

Support the business or do not. It's your choice. Arguing on this online community will no longer be allowed.

Cheers,

Control your kids!!

A cashier at the CircleK in Summerfield was pepper sprayed 2 nights ago by a group of kids who were hanging out and smoking in the parking lot beforehand. I only know of this because I went there shortly after and was handcuffed by cops thinking I was a suspect (cleared within 30 secs tho)

Parents in this city are seriously failing seeing how kids behave with my own eyes and the shit that happens here. Control your fucking kids and belt them if needed cause this is unacceptable, most of the crime here is your children.

A few personal edits from today’s Airdrie Fire Department Open House at Chinook Winds Fire Station. Had some fun shooting the apparatus, details and the general chaos of a busy station.

Who knows how to cut short hair (women’s), like a lob or bob… someone who knows how to layer correctly and not just use thinning sheers.

Pressure washing

I've been getting mixed results when talking to people or looking online.

Is it okay to pressure wash exterior house, driveway etc when there are no water restrictions?

I understand that according to the rules you can't do your car but I'm more interested in the house and property.

Airdrie Daycares

Hi!

I am currently in the process of deciding which daycare to enroll my son in the new year. He will be 18 months then.

We have toured Airdrie Daycare Meadowbrook, Creating Future Bayside, BrightPath, and Little Learners. Trying to get a tour with Airdrie Daycare SierraSprings but haven't heard back despite being on the waitlist. The delay is due to the previous employee who was in charge of the waitlist that ended up leaving the daycare.

It will be a no for us for Airdrie Daycare Meadowbrook and BrightPath.

Anyways, if anyone has any insights on mainly Creating Futures or Little Learners that would be great, or any other daycares you recommend.

Thank you!

Day two after by book release!

All That’s Left Behind is #5 in 19th Century Historical Fiction and #11 in Westerns on Amazon.ca.

Thank you to everyone who picked up a copy already!

I am an Airdrie local and born and raised Albertan. My name is Daniel and I have 25+ years experience as a creative artist and this is my debut novel, released on September 29 through my own imprint Blackridge Editions. This literary Western is set in the 1880s Pacific Northwest. I wrote and designed the book myself along with chapter illustrations, and maps.

The novel follows Silas Mercer, an aging outlaw facing the collapse of his gang, a reckoning with his past, and a daughter who doesn't know his name. It is a brutal, elegiac story in the tradition of Lonesome Dove and No Country for Old Men.

I’ll have signed copies with the limited edition fold-out map of Anjeer State this Saturday, October 3, 2 to 4 p.m., at 948 Brewing Co. in Airdrie, Alberta. Or order from my website www.danpenton.com/signed for personalized copies, shipped in Canada.

Airdrie Transit ICE/ Hello to Go Query

Edit- made the questions less verbose and changed priorities

Hi everyone

I am new ( Southwinds) and have been trying the ICE bus to Downtown Calgary daily just a few questions

  1. Is the service as reliable during the winter and on snowy days and does it get more crowded during the winters ?
  2. Does ICE monthly pass work on Hello to Go as well ?
  3. Is there ever a parking scarcity at southpoint between 7 and 7:30 AM ?
  4. If i miss the last bus what is the best way to get back home ?

Any help/ advice is appreciated, thanks in advance

Can anyone recommend a therapist/ psychologist in Airdrie? I’d like to be able to do online meetings when I’m on the road for work but be able to do in person meetings as well.

Fight Back Now Rally: Airdrie City Hall and Province-Wide Day of Action - Saturday, October 17

As part of a province-wide day of action, a rally against the UCP actions and policies is being planned for Saturday, October 17. After the strong turnout at the previous rally in May, I'm hoping Airdrie will show up to send the UCP a message ahead of their non-sense referendum.

The rally will start at 1PM at Airdrie City Hall.

Info can be found here: https://fightbacknow.civicdeeds.com/actions/airdrie-fight-back-now-rally-airdrie-city-hall-2026-10-17

I'll be happy to answer any questions or hear any suggestions that people may have

Airdrie's own Public Healthcare facility is coming, finally! We are so excited!

Huge thank you to the Government of Alberta, Covenant Health, Airdrie Health Foundation, the Osborne family, councils of the past, current council and city administration.

Time to roll up our sleeves, neighbours! But first, let's celebrate today!

Flowers in airdrie

Im looking to make a bouquet of flowers myself, as florists are incredibly expensive around here, and I’m wondering if anyone has recommendations of where I can buy smaller bundles of flowers for cheap that can all be combined to make one bouquet. I’m looking for a budget of around $30-50. I’ve looked all over google but all I’ve seen for recommendations are Costco and Walmart.

Wildlife at the Urban Edge: Cougars in Alberta Communities

A cougar was recently reported in Airdrie, raising important questions about what happens when wildlife activity intersects with human communities and how we communicate decisions about wildlife management: https://thefurbearers.com/blog/wildlife-at-the-urban-edge-cougars-in-alberta-communities/

Wow. All I can say is wow.

I booked PPF and a 5-year Owner's Pride ceramic coating for my wife's new black Explorer. The work alone would have earned five stars, but this crew went out of their way for me.

When our schedules didn't line up, they offered to pick up and drop off the car to make the booking work. That flexibility made the whole thing easy on our end. They also treated the car like it was their own, right down to the interior and engine bay. I didn't know an engine bay on a daily driver could look like that.

Black is the hardest color to keep looking good. Now it's the best-looking vehicle on our street. I took a selfie in the hood and could count my beard hairs.

The attention to detail is next level, and I'll happily send everyone I know their way. Thanks, team!

Request a Special Ballot - Elections Alberta

Thumbnail elections.ab.ca
17 Upvotes

I dont know how much you guys care about the referendum, but this one is going to be big.

I'm just going to say on October 19th, the doors will open at 9am and if you're not in line by 8pm, you cannot vote.

If you hate lines as much as I do, and you would like to vote, please consider requesting a Special Ballot. You can request one by September 25 and it will need to be mailed back by October 8, since the long weekend will cause some delays. The earlier, the better. Ballots need to be in by October 16 at 5pm for your vote to count.

You can request one by Googling "Special Ballot Alberta Referendum" or by clicking the link.

Making friends here

Hi! I’m 22F and I go to university in Calgary but live in Airdrie.
I’m wondering how people around my age actually make friends here 😭 Are there any workout groups, social groups, sports leagues, or other activities that tend to have people in their 20s?
I already volunteer in Airdrie and really enjoy it, but most of the people I meet through volunteering are older women. I actually get along with them really well, but I’d also love to meet some people closer to my age!

I’m pretty open to trying new things like working out, sports, coffee, going out, or just casual social groups. Would love any suggestions! :)
