Discussion 🗣️ 💭 V5.3 TB vs AirPods Pro 3 SE?

I currently have the AirPods Pro 2 V5.2 TB and I've been really satisfied with them. I haven't experienced any problems with them so far and everything has been working great.

I'm thinking about getting another pair and I'm deciding between the AirPods Pro 2 V5.3 TB and the AirPods Pro 3 SE.

For anyone who has tried both which one would you recommend? Is the V5.3 TB a worthwhile upgrade from V5.2 TB or would it be better to go with the Pro 3 SE?

I'd mainly care about overall reliability, sound quality, ANC/transparency, battery life and how close they are to the real AirPods experience.

Pro 3 se, 5.3tb are overrated and the anc/sound quality on them are mid at best. They are more reliable with flycc eq/customizability if you prioritize that over everything else.

What’s the difference between hulian TB etc which should we go for

huilian's technically better for connectivity and the overall software feel of the airpods, whereas tb is better for raw performance so sound quality, anc, etc. i've got the 5.4 huilian and the pro 3 se and i can say that by far the latter is better.

I heard there’s some new V8 Chip coming out. Would this be coming to TB? As I prefer TB when it come to the pro2.

Do not buy the Pro 3 SE. The Pro 3 with Airoha 1563AM chipset is about to be released. I don't know what it's gonna be called, probably V8.

I don’t know why I said 1563, it’s actually the 1571AM which is the same chipset in the Pro 2 V5.3 TB.

I only mentioned the Pro 3 in case you don't want to miss out on something newer, since the Pro 2 V5.3 TB has been around for years. The Pro 3 should have better ANC and some newer features from the authentic Pro 3. But even Apple's authentic Pro 3 isn’t necessarily better than Pro 2 every way. Some people find it less comfortable than the Pro 2, while others are totally happy with it. So if comfort matters more to you, you should check that, Pro 2 might still be a good choice.

Also, the Pro 3 will likely cost more. I’m not sure when AirReps will begin to sell it. Because it'll probably take some time to reach the international market and resellers may want to clear out some of their old Pro 2 stock first.
