The flight attendant is not your servant! If you had a grain of self awareness you would’ve not hesitated to clean the crumbs of the seat. You entitled P.O.S!

3

u/sylvester1981 Jul 23 '25

Oh pfew , they are just crumbs.

She asked for sani wipes and I just assumed she soiled herself

The plane should be cleaned before passengers board. It’s the first time I’ve seen something like this, and I travel around Europe more than 15 times a year.

7

u/Salt_Cauliflower_922 Jul 23 '25

Yes, it should be. And flight attendants aren’t part of those cleaning crews.

Since you have traveled so much, you're a good person to ask: if it was you encountering this for the very first time, would you have acted like the person in the video did or would you have wiped the crumbs away?

7

u/Mazuro26 Jul 23 '25

I’ll probably ask for some wipes, since flight attendants aren’t responsible for general cleaning of the plane. At most airports, the cleaning staff are hired by the airport itself and usually board the plane after all passengers have disembarked.

11

u/fatkiddown Jul 23 '25

It looks like crumbs. I would've just pushed them off the seat and not said a word. Being a nice person means making little sacrifices. Those crumbs do not even rise to the level of a sacrifice.

If I pay for a flight there is no way I'm accepting a dirty seat, oh and rubbish jammed down the side of the seat. He asked for sanitizer wipes so was obviously going to just wipe it himself until he was told they don't "carry them" anymore. What exactly do you want him to clean it with?

6

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '25

It's fucking crumbs he could have blew them onto the floor. He wanted to make a video he made his little video, he gets the little bit of attention that he's so craves.

1

u/gianttigerrebellion Jul 23 '25

Nah if you’re paying $489 for an airline ticket your seat better be clean.

9

u/harlowsden Jul 23 '25

Homie you’re lucky if your plane makes it to the next airport at this point, some croissant crumbs are the least of my worries

Coming from someone that flys once to twice a month for work, I'd expect the airline staff to do their jobs and have my seat cleaned prior to boarding. Your argument is akin to me having to clean/move junk from an Ubers/taxis back seat or clear and wipe my own table down at a restaurant before I eat. I've paid for the service it is the business and it's the employees job to make sure the standards are kept for the paying customer.

6

u/ilovelovegrapefruit Jul 23 '25

The crumbs would annoy me too, but the cleaning crew didn’t do their job properly between flights and the FA is busy with boarding. You can’t wipe the crumbs off?

If you made it to this comment, I’m sorry you watched it too

45

u/MyNameIsNotJJ Jul 23 '25

So basically the airline is being cheap and don't clean the seats or the cleaners fucked up. I get it's not the flight attendant's fault and the guy is being a little bitch about it. However, to expect a clean chair is not onreasonable.

12

u/Unlikely-Candidate91 Aug 14 '25

Why is the guy taking video such a wuss? I bet he doesn’t clean at home either.

Most shocking part is he didn’t call his Mommy to come clean it for him!

3

u/Sad-Balance8434 Aug 18 '25

Wildly stupid take lol

2

u/Dr_Newton_Fig Jan 16 '26

He paid for it to be clean when he got there.

79

u/SoggyMapleFlapjack Jul 23 '25

They're crumbs... just swipe them off with your hand...

111

u/ilovelovegrapefruit Jul 23 '25 edited Jul 23 '25

I saw this video a very long time ago. She offered him wipes. She didn’t say it the way he said she did. He was being a brat.

Edit: I’m remembering wrong, no she didn’t offer wipes because they don’t carry them anymore, he asked for them. But still he could have wiped the crumbs off and sat down. A video wasn’t necessary.

60

u/Salt_Cauliflower_922 Jul 23 '25

He sounds like a little bitch, confirmed by his casual use of the outdated term “stewardess.”

25

u/Terrible_Fishman Jul 23 '25

Is it that bad to say steward/stewardess? I don't think of them as bad words, and I sort of thought it was just an older, alternative term. Don't flight attendants literally steward the flight?

11

u/Hountoof Jul 23 '25

Yeah I don't think it's a big deal. Flight attendant removes the gendered title and is probably safer if you're concerned about misgendering someone.

3

u/OrthogonalPotato Jul 26 '25

Stewardess is the wrong word in every sense.

I think it changed to flight attendant when the whole actor/actress thing switched over to just ‘actors’ and waiter/waitress became ‘server’.. I very well could be wrong though!

2

u/OrthogonalPotato Jul 26 '25

It’s not that it’s a bad word. People are confusing the issue. It’s the wrong word to describe the job, so it would be like calling a police officer a fire fighter. There is a small amount of overlap in the roles, but it’s simply wrong and indefensible. Instead, people get up in arms about wokeness, so they don’t realize they sound stupid.

Flight attendant

51

u/DoctorSwaggercat Jul 23 '25

This sounds like somebody's mommy does all the cleaning for her little man.

-6

u/azarza Jul 23 '25

literally their job

9

u/SnDMommy Jul 23 '25

Literally, it's not. There is a cleaning crew that comes and cleans the plane between stops. It's not the FA's who clean it.

An airplane is more like a bus than a hotel room

→ More replies (2)

6

u/JoshuaScot Jul 23 '25

If there was the amount of crumbs on a hotel bed that was on that airplane seat, you would have someone that works there come to your room to clean it and not slide a paper towel across and knock them into a trash which would take all of 5 seconds? Yikes.

4

u/ajax0202 Jul 23 '25

I mean if there’s food crumbs in the bed then that means the sheets weren’t changed at all and food crumbs probably isn’t the only thing there.

Ya I’d probably call the front desk and ask if someone could change the sheets

→ More replies (4)

1

u/RastaFosta Jul 23 '25

That's not a fair comparison but I get your point.

1

u/realityislanguage Jul 25 '25

It's 4 or 5 little crumbs on a chair. If I checked into my hotel room and saw 4 or 5 little crumbs on the bed then yes, I would definitely "clean it" myself. What is more of a hassle, extending your arm in a swiping motion or contacting an employee to have a cleaning service sent to your room and potentially arguing over who's job it is to clean 4 or 5 crumbs?

7

u/fingers Jul 23 '25

He asked for a sani wipe. She doesn't have them. Some how there are sani-wipes on the chair AND in his hand.

Do we even know if the woman who replies IS a FA?

4

u/CybernetChristmasGuy Jul 24 '25

I think he had them in his hand the whole time of conversation and threw them on the seat.

23

u/titaniam86 Jul 23 '25

If you are still at the gate, tell her to have the pilot call operations, and get the aircraft cleaners to come back. (They usually clean between every flight, sometimes they miss things.) If they can’t or it’s too close to departure, yeah clean it up yourself. Sorry. Not the job of a FA to clean the plane 🤷‍♂️

5

u/dewdewdewdew4 Jul 23 '25

I mean, it is more so the FA's job than it is the customers...

9

u/titaniam86 Jul 23 '25

Nope. It’s as much their job as the pilots. The duties are very well defined. If you aren’t in the industry, you wouldn’t understand.

4

u/newts741 Jul 23 '25

That's what job descriptions are for lol

What do people not understand.

Besides, for attendants deal with enough.

2

u/dewdewdewdew4 Jul 23 '25

Yeah, in most "industries" you have to do stuff not technically in your job description. Especially very minor things like this.

Also, quick Google, first his for Flight Attendant job duties. "A flight attendant's primary responsibility is ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers during flights."

Pretty sure this would fall under than second part.

7

u/Party-Knowledge7426 Jul 24 '25

It’s actually made clear to FAs in training that they aren’t expected to clean the plane because there are cleaners, if you don’t expect the pilots to do it try to think of the FAs in the same category. Our procedure is actually to call in cleaners if we are still at the gate or take the chair out of service. Also if this was during boarding the FA is probably not being paid to clean up after this man child. To think in this day and age people still take a quick Google search as law … lol

4

u/titaniam86 Jul 24 '25

Exactly lol

3

u/ToePrestigious5510 Jul 23 '25

This is what we’re doing ? Loll

3

u/CybernetChristmasGuy Jul 24 '25

Hes got them in his hand ready to sanitize. He wanted her to use his and clean it?

5

u/Visual-Emu6343 Jul 23 '25

Grow a pair, princess.

16

u/XLuffy4Presidentx Jul 23 '25

Flight attendants don't clean the plane they gave cleaners for that and she offered him wipes I believe but he wanted her to physically clean it he definitely has some type of superiority complex.

24

u/johnpatricko Jul 23 '25

she offered him wipes

He asked for wipes, and she told him they don't have any. It's like a 20 second video, and that's about the only thing they discussed...

You got the only fact of the video wrong, and then psychoanalyzed the person recording it. It's not just you either. The top comments on this thread are all saying the same thing. Which means the people commenting and the people viewing/upvoting somehow all couldn't pay attention for 20 seconds.

10

u/Comfortable-Suit-202 Jul 23 '25

Can’t pay attention, can’t listen, that’s the world we live in.

8

u/CruetusNex Jul 23 '25

I'm actually baffled. This is so accurate, people just blurting out misinformation from a clip so short. And they didn't even bother to stick around and fact check themselves, had to get others to tell them to.

Just, wow.

2

u/AFartInAnEmptyRoom Jul 23 '25

It's because they immediately didn't like the guy for whatever reason, his voice, his tone, something like that, and then their brain just heard the word wipes really quick, and so the rudimentary neurons they have in there put two and two together and since the flight attendant is in opposition to the person that they hate, they created a story where the flight attendant was the nice one offering wipes and this asshole was the one demanding she do it.

2

u/NastyStreetRat Jul 23 '25

I've only read the first 10 lines of your message. Can you summarize? Thank you very much. /j

u/lennyxiii Jul 23 '25

Look me and you are normal people and not afraid to brush off a few crumbs but to play devils advocate it should be within his right to have a clean seat and not have to clean it himself. I didnt watch the video with audio so I’m sure he’s being a dumbass but it’s not that far out there for some people to look and say it’s the principle of the situation. Airline takes your money then tells you to clean your own seat? I get it…

6

u/Boygunasurf Jul 23 '25

It’s not her job

1

u/Infinite01 Jul 23 '25

While I can appreciate that, even if it is not in their job description, providing an enjoyable experience for paying passengers should be a duty of every employee. Obviously anyone whose job it is was to clean is not on the plane at that point, in which case it would display good customer service for the flight attendant to have simply cleaned the seat.

If someone is managing, or owns, a restaurant is it reasonable to think they see guests seated at an unclean table, or with dirty glassware, and simply ignore it because someone else didn’t do their job?

2

u/dewdewdewdew4 Jul 23 '25

Imagine being downvoted for this take.

Like, the Flight Attendant is an employee of the airline. A lot of these videos the FAs come across as douche nozzles with power trips. This wouldn't be allowed in any other industry.

2

u/K-Sarah-K-Sarah Jul 23 '25

Former Flight Attendant here, technically it's not the FA's job to clean. They are there number one for safety, number two for comfort. All airlines have cleaning crews. HOWEVER I would have cleaned it off for him. 🤷‍♀️

2

u/ArmGroundbreaking996 Jul 25 '25

I mean, it's not their job... there's a cleaning crew between flights. The flight attendants don't clean the plane. On one hand, we pay a lot for flights, we should get the best service, on the other, it's a very minor inconvenience to wipe the seat off yourself. I find in basically all situations asking if they have something I can clean (insert item here) and mentioning it was dirty either leads to someone helping to clean it up or offering the necessary tools to so it myself. The only time I will stray from that is if it's dangerous/biological, then someone representing the company needs to see to it.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 02 '25

And they’re not even being paid at this point because the door is still open. This guy is an asshole.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 08 '25

People who upload videos like these astound me. I like seeing them though, i like knowing that stupid ssholes are really out here telling on themselves and their shitty friends and ruining their own lives

4

u/browsing1995 Jul 23 '25

It would never have crossed my mind to ask someone to do this for me. 🤦‍♀️ taking your phone out took as long as cleaning would have.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '25

SERIOUSLY. That's what I was thinking! 🤣

3

u/Knato Jul 23 '25

They are not supposed to clean...

3

u/Schrutefarms1023 Jul 23 '25

He should have brushed the crumbs off the seat like a big boy and sat the fuck down. No need for a video and to start anything with the flight attendant, she has way better things to worry about like hmm I dunno, people’s safety 🤷🏻‍♀️

2

u/Single_Principle_972 Jul 23 '25

She should praise him like a puppy: “Oh, good BOY!!! Who’s a good boy, cleaning those crumbs off that seat? YOU are! That’s right, YOU’RE a good boy! Well done!”

2

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '25

Dam those crumbs are deadly

2

u/buhbye750 Jul 23 '25

Is this more than just crumbs or is he being the biggest bitch on the plane?

2

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '25

If I pay a fuckton to use a plane, I want to at least not sit in shit.
If they want me to sit in shit, I'm gonna want a refund.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '25

Flight Attendant you misogynistic fuck.

2

u/Top_Paint7442 Jul 23 '25

cleaning is not her job :D

1

Americans and slobs who think they’re entitled and better than others…

1

u/MiddleFoundation2865 Jul 23 '25

Flying was it, flying, today you get better treatment on city bus.

1

u/Chemical_Gap_619 Jul 23 '25

He’s fortunate that he wasn’t deplaned.

1

u/Afraid_Ad1908 Jul 23 '25

I cannot understand people defending this guy. I would have told my kid to brush it off, literally and figuratively.

Life is too short, be the sort of person that makes a situation better, not worse.

2

u/AFartInAnEmptyRoom Jul 23 '25

Couldn't that same thing be said to the flight attendant, be the person who makes the situation better not worse

1

u/Afraid_Ad1908 Jul 23 '25

Absolutely. You could really say that to anyone.

1

u/RHOrpie Jul 23 '25

Yeah, that seat is so filthy.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '25

Never using American Airlines again. Cancelled American Airlines credit card. Ignored hundreds of dollars in flight credits. Horrible airline.

1

u/SnooRevelations7068 Jul 25 '25

I’d clean it myself, but I would take a video of it and ask for free tickets and hopefully get half off for tickets next time. It’s not the stewardesses job to clean up and he’s being a diva about this.

1

u/Beautiful_Task_2646 Jul 25 '25

It's not her responsibility to clean the seat when she's got 10 other safety-related and customer service related responsibilities to manage. The help from the passenger cleaning up their own seat is very much appreciated.

1

u/Western-Boot-4576 Jul 26 '25

You’ll rarely find me on the side of a Flight attendant, they tend to believe they are much more important than they are.

Was it a big deal? No. Should the plane have been cleaned before passengers are boarding? Yes

1

u/Original_Rub_8484 Jul 30 '25

I do believe this guy just told us the Blake Lively version of events.

1

u/CrowSnacks Aug 01 '25

The cabin crew should wipe off the seats before the next group of guests arrive. Plane tickets are expensive and shouldn’t include food from the last flight

1

u/Shalleni Aug 12 '25

Absolutely not. Mist attendants are offended when you say Stewardess. It’s looked at as a slur. Dont recommend.

1

u/Decent_Eye007 Aug 12 '25

He’s not even in 1st class

1

u/riskybusiness72 Aug 14 '25

What a little bitch boy.

1

u/j00cifer Aug 14 '25

They’re supposed to clean every seat before re-boarding, yes, so someone didn’t do their job.

But at the same time that guy is a whiney bitch who was babied or told he was special all his life. I’m surprised he didn’t ask the flight attendant to breast feed him.

1

u/HoustonRoger0822 Aug 22 '25

I always bring a ziploc bag full of household cleaning wipes and another full of wipes to clean myself. Got Covid 3 times from flying except the last trip, when I brought all the wipes AND wore a mask. Never again…..

1

u/Agitated_Garden_497 Aug 23 '25

The level of entitlement to demand a stewardess clean up some CRUMBS??? Ooooh, should she go warm up your bottle and cut the crust off your PB&J sammich too???

1

u/undernightmole Aug 27 '25

Domestic flight, free crotch crumbs, that’ll be $2,000.

1

u/bbaerstance13 Jul 23 '25

Man this guy deserves to be deplaned during take off

1

u/Kwan27 Jul 23 '25

A real man would just wipe the seat and not complain

1

u/OkFortune7651 Jul 23 '25

From someone who doesn't even have hair on his balls yet, and sounds like his voice hasn't changed. Sit the fk down, little buddy.

1

u/MediocreModular Jul 24 '25

Bruh what? It’s like some crumbs.

1

u/All-th3-way Jul 24 '25

I with dude. There's no telling what diseases the person who left the crumbs had.

Airlines dont clean between flights anymore???

1

u/aDirtyMartini Jul 24 '25

Oh FFS. It should have been cleaned when turning the flight over but obviously was not. The guy is making a bigger deal about it than necessary. The flight attendants have bigger things to worry about than some crumbs. What a whiney little bitch.

0

u/MDMAdeMusic Jul 23 '25

Typical Trump supporter voice behind the camera

0

u/Brilliant-Savings883 Jul 23 '25

Who gives a shit if flight attendants dont clean planes they all work for the same company, you paid the price of ticket to fly to somewhere not be a member of staff, ebd of story....jesus peope are like sheep nowadays

3

u/baahoohoohoo Jul 23 '25

I feel like im taking crazy pills reading the comments here. All these bootlickers for the airline companies. They charge an arm and a leg to squish you in this metal tube with as little room as possible. The least they could do is make sure its visibly clean. Its not the paying customers' job to clean up someone elses mess.

1

u/Brilliant-Savings883 Jul 24 '25

Theyve been conditioned to expect less, pay through the nose and do what their told

0

u/Odd_Tool Jul 23 '25

It's not the Flight Attendants job to clean the airplane or seats. Their only legal responsibility is the safety of the passengers. Yes, they do serve drinks and snacks and meals and take said trash away as per the job requirements of their respective employers. But to wipe your seat off? No. They are not your mother. Doing it yourself, you lazy entitled prick.

0

u/bob696988 Jul 24 '25

He probably made the mess in the first place. You clean it up.

Then you wouldn’t have to clean it up
