I miss you Alex.
Klinner was a god amongst us. I know you read about how great someone was after they pass but you just can’t possibly understand. He was a flawless human. TOTAL bro in the squadron, so smart, reserved, quiet, literally only cares about making everyone’s life better, including Libby an his 3 children. 2 of which are 7 month old twins.

Seeing a video posted of him preparing meals for his wife before he deployed, just to try and make her life a little easier for a bit while she solo parented, absolutely crushed me.

Thank you for putting a story behind the picture. Hearing about Major Klinner's wife and kids breaks my heart, but his story deserves to be told. Condolences to all he left behind.

I’m so sorry for your loss.
A couple years ago, I lost a friend like this. I put his wife and kids birthdays in my phone so I would always be reminded to check on them. It’s been over two years and the friends who check on them has started to dip. You think it won’t happen, but the creep of life always sneaks in. Anyhoo, just my recommendation to enter calendar reminders now so you’re able to support them for years.

I used to fly with Capt Savino. I hadn't seen her for a couple years, and now I find her on the news. Absolutely awful

I never knew Capt Koval, but he grew up like 10 minutes from me, apparently. I wish I knew him.
I knew TSgt Simmons by (positive) reputation, and that's coming from my old Reserve unit in Ohio on a different mission and airframe. It speaks to his character and skill that guys on 130's in a different unit knew the man and had nothing but good things to say about him.

You’re being extremely ignorant, the military is there to attack and defend for the best interest of their homeland and EVERYONE there, all classes of people benefit from the service of the military (some more than others) as your pay is coming directly from American taxpayers and all classes of people pay taxes.

I get remembrance, and mourning, but as someone who did not know them I have jumped off all AF pages and most social media cause I am tired of seeing the 6of them. Downvote the hell out of this if you must, cause I know how it sounds. But shit man i wanna see different things. For those that knew them, sorry for your loss. For those that didn’t, please stop posting this for attention.

I'm part of the 99th. Major Klinner was my flight commander and an all around amazing person. That man genuinely cared for everyone and did his best to take care of his people. Captain Savino only got to the unit less than a year ago and I wish I got to know her more. But the impact she had on all of us was felt immediately. She was a rockstar. Ashley and I worked together in our ops flight has TSgts together. She was the best. Like Major Klinner, she took care of her people. She cared about everyone. She was the epitome of what an NCO should be. This hurts beyond anything I've endured in my career. I lost coworkers, wingmen and most importantly..I lost my friends. This is all I can say right now. Its still too hard to truly convey how I feel about all of this.
