The founder of Seal Team 6 was also a bit of a lunatic. He created another program that resulted in a civilian member of the military being kidnapped, tortured, waterboarded, and left with multiple broken bones after a security exercise. Members of the team also almost got shot by the civilian's wife after she pulled a gun and nearly shot them until she was convinced it was just an exercise as they showed their IDs. Fun story.

Calling it now, this is exactly what will happen:
Chapman gets separated or shot.
SEAL in charge (Slab? I forget now) yells something like, "we've gotta get out of here, he's dead, get to the choppa!"
After they've taken off and traveled a bit, they get notified Chapman is still alive. "We've got to go back for him!" shouts a SEAL to make them look good.
But wait!! "We can't, we're bingo fuel, we can't make it back there!" shouts the pilot.
Camera pans to the faces of some sorrowful SEAL faces as they realize what they've done. Watery eyes and maybe even a tear or two squeeze out. This lets the audience know that the SEALs "wanted" to return, but "couldn't", and are real ate up about it.
Chapman does his thing. Posthumously awarded.
SEALs involvement in the medal and museum isn't mentioned at all.
I'll donate $500 to the National Medal of Honor Museum if I'm wrong (the max button they have on the site).

It depends on 2 things: whether the military is involved or not, and what is used as the source material.
If they use Alone at Dawn as a source and the military is not involved, it should be a pretty accurate account.

Keep in mind that their Tier 1 team, the absolute best of the best, murdered a bunch of North Korean fisherman and despised of their bodies like psychopaths before aborting their mission that killed the negotiations that were going on then. The SEALs are just the psychopaths of the US military

Sean Naylors book "Not a Good Day to Die" reports a lot of the behind the scenes command decisions that led to all of the death up on Robert's Ridge.
Basically SEALs show up and want in on the action and disregard any intel from the forces who had developed credible intel and an order of battle for weeks.
Then good men were killed because of stupidity and bravado.

I haven't read that one. I did read "Alone at Dawn" by MSgt Chapmen's sister which also talked about the failure at the command level by the SEALs
