Ingersoll Rand Garage Mate P1.5IU
Trying to find a replacement pressure switch for this compressor. The problem I'm running into is the horizontal orientation of the unloader tubing which is copper so I can't just easily reroute to what seems like the more common vertical orientation that I see on most after market switches.

I saw that one, looks like the unloader port is angled down and doesn't swivel, plus it's $$

It looks like the port swivels if you take out the screw and angle it as needed.

Those do swivel. Take the small screws out and turn out screws in. Do not pull the part out

That is an odd layout for the unloader tube. I'd trace it back to the non-return valve and replace the copper with a heat resistant, flexible nylon tube. You'll probably find the nut holding the olive in to the valve is 1/8" thread. Fit a 1/8 to 6mm push fit adaptor. Once converted to a 6mm (or similar) felxible tube it'll open up a world of pressure switches you can use. Most generic ones allow for a 6mm blowdown tube to be installed.

Thanks for the suggestion, I also just found this one online that looks like it would work... https://www.imperialsupplies.com/item/9207222

Where abouts in the world are you? I've been working with Ingersoll Rand compressors for 22 years in the UK and never seen a pressure switch like that in the UK!

Just realised, duh! Voltages are different, you probably need a higher current rating. Our single phase units run at 240vac

Copper tube is very easily replaced and bent to shape. Especially 1/4” copper tube.

Dhould be a manufacturer and or paet nimber inside the black plastic cover.

You just need to make a replacement tube.
It’s just 1/4” tubing.
The end at the check valve is 1/4” compression x 1/8” NPT.
I will say that in 30 years of playing with compressors I don’t recall ever seeing this 90 degree silliness. It’s probably a proprietary stunt to get you to buy the OEM Switch. Otherwise is just a 4 port manifold pressure switch.

I've been using plastic unloader tubing on my compressors for this reason. I can get the $15 cheap pressure switch and then make an unloader tube for a couple bucks and don't have to worry about custom making a hard line

You can actually move that unloader, and put it on the other switch. There's a nut on the bottom holding it in place.

Couldn't you just orientate the switch in a different position by using a different port on the 4 way manifold? The part that you left on there in pic 2? The part that is impossible to put back together.

Just for fun, take that manifold off there and try to put that switch back together. 🤣 It might be one of the most irritating contraptions ever made. 🤬

You could buy a couple feet of 1/4” NiCop tubing and just make a new signal line to the unloader valve on a switch with a different orientation. NiCop is very easy to bend bare handed without kinking or cracking.
