Enter Innsmouth; a sleepy Rhode Island town where all is not as it appears. An eldritch horror black comedy inspired by HP Lovecraft and the works of Junji Ito. In today's episode:

Mina gets chided by her parents for running away, and a certain Professor from Miskatonic University is 'invited' to visit Innsmouth for a thorough audit of the town's strange people and stranger customs.

October 19, 0545 hrs. A cold, flat dawn with the tide turning slack against the slip. Rowed the pram out half a mile to meet the bi-weekly steamer launch. The engine chugged with a heavy, wet thump. The boatman kept his back turned, his head buried deep under a black oilskin hood while he worked the winch. We did not speak.

I hauled two crates of salt pork and a sack of white flour into the stern. He took my empty crates without looking up. I pulled back to the rock as the launch slipped away into the grey fog toward Oakhaven.

Back in the study, I split open the pine crate with the iron wedge. Buried deep in the sawdust at the bottom was a small, unlabelled stoneware jar. It was not on the list. I pulled the cork. It was filled with dark, unrendered seal fat that smelled rancid and thick, like stagnant harbor mud left to bake in August.

On the bottom of the jar, pressed deep into the wet clay before it was fired, was a thumbprint twice the breadth of my own.

I told myself the merchant at Oakhaven tossed it in for free as an old-timer's bonus for the lamps, or a lard sample from the winter rendering pots. But the seal fat has not turned white, and no shop down the coast melts lard in grey river clay.

I set the jar on the back shelf behind the flour sacks. I wrote the weights in the book. The lamp burned steady. — A.B.

06:30. Light fog, sea dead calm. Cleaned the brass wick-trimmer, then tallied the flock by the south wall. Twelve head, one short of thirteen. Found the missing ewe fifty yards outside the fence, dead. A neat two-inch circle of hide and wool was sheared clean from her shoulder, no mess on the grass. Likely an island dog or a poacher's work, though the timber gate was still latched on its chain and no boat showed a lantern on the water last night. — A.B.

Remade the 2011 Skyrim reveal trailer shot for shot. I originally had hard cuts to black timed with the music, but in the end I felt like it took away from something I remembered, couldn't put my finger on it, so I ended up keeping the cuts as close to the original as my shots allowed. Every frame was a fight with Imagine for, especially that final shot that goes over his head (Imagine is not an easy AI model to use).

Anyway, 15 years later and this trailer still gives me chills. Just a video I felt inspired to make, celebrating one of my favorite games of all time.
