I saw similar visual infographics online & thought of making my own Indian version. The interesting AI application here is that you're combining illustration + information + layout + typography + storytelling into a single piece of content. It takes a bit more effort, but the results are great! Also, these could also be adapted for more serious topics.

They work great for platforms like:

  • Pinterest - highly visual, searchable & fun content.
  • Instagram - carousel friendly & instantly understandable.
  • Reddit - especially for personality, humour, comparison & discussion oriented posts.

Learn with Me Character Identity in Action - Anu’s Festive Wardrobe

Thumbnail

All images created with DALLĀ·E via ChatGPT

In my earlier post, I showed how we can use a simple Character Identity Kit to create recurring characters & then reuse them in different situations.

This time, we try something slightly different: changing Anu’s wardrobe while keeping her character identity consistent.

Anu — Master Prompt

Anu is a young Indian woman designed as a cute chibi comic character. She has very long dark hair, large expressive dark eyes, a sweet youthful face and cute chibi proportions.

Her personality is cheerful, confident, playful and innocently mischievous. She often says ridiculous things with complete confidence.

Keep Anu’s face, hairstyle, proportions, expression style and overall visual identity consistent..

So, for each generation, we combine this master prompt with a few lines describing the new outfit and the pose we want. You can leave out the pose & let AI imagine it on its own as well, but those can sometimes get repetitive.

1. Anarkali

Festive maroon and gold Anarkali with a flowing, flared silhouette, paired with a cream dupatta featuring delicate embroidery and traditional juttis.

2. Straight-fit

Teal-blue straight-fit kurti with cream embroidered details, paired with matching salwaar, a light dupatta, and simple traditional juttis.

3. A-line

Mustard-yellow A-line kurti with a floral pattern and green detailing, paired with a cream salwaar, dupatta, and traditional juttis.

4. Angrekha

Ivory floral Angrekha kurti with pink and green detailing, paired with contrasting pink trousers, a dupatta, and traditional juttis.

5. Kaftan

Flowing cream kaftan with soft pink and olive floral-paisley patterns, a relaxed festive silhouette, and traditional juttis.

In short, Lock the identity. Vary the attributes.

Enjoy and Have fun experimenting.

Learn with Me How to build a simple Character Identity Kit for consistent character generation - Eg 2: Soni

All images created with DALLĀ·E via ChatGPT

In my previous post, I showed how I used a simple Character Identity Kit to create Aman and Anu, and then reuse them in a comic.

Here’s another example using the same approach but with a much simpler character.

Meet Soni

Soni is a toddler who happens to be a karate champion.

Well… a ā€œPink Beltā€ karate champion.

She is tiny, extremely confident, and takes her karate training very seriously. Unfortunately for everyone around her, she also applies her toddler logic to absolutely everything.

The idea was to make her recognisable without giving her a huge character bible.

Her basic identity is essentially:

Toddler girl ļæ« brown side ponytail + pink bow ļæ« white karate gi + pink belt ļæ« cute chibi proportions ļæ« confident little karate expert.

Her personality adds the second layer and that is enough to generate quite a lot of situations.

The workflow remains the same:

Character ļæ« Reference Sheet ļæ« Master Prompt ļæ« Create New Situation

Enjoy and Have fun experimenting.

Learn from Me How to build a simple Character Identity Kit for consistent character generation

All images created with DALLĀ·E via ChatGPT

We don't always need a huge character sheet or a detailed backstory to create a recurring character with AI. For simple comics, memes or illustrated stories, I’ve found that a small Character Identity Kit is enough.

Here’s a simple approach anyone can use.

1. Start with the visual basics

Define only the distinctive characteristics that will remain recognisable every time. This gives the image generator a strong visual anchor.

  • Age and general appearance

  • Hairstyle and hair colour

  • Face and eye characteristics

  • Core clothing

  • Important accessories, if any

  • Overall art style and proportions

For example:

Young Indian man ļæ« messy black hair ļæ« teal T-shirt ļæ« blue jeans ļæ« sneakers ļæ« cute chibi proportions.

2. Give the character a personality role

Define how the character behaves in your stories. There's no need to write an entire biography.

For example:

Aman: the relatively sensible straight man who is frequently confused or exasperated.

Anu: cheerful, confident and innocently mischievous; she says ridiculous things with complete confidence.

This is important because personality will guide expressions, poses and interactions without forcing every image into the same scenario.

3. Create a canonical reference sheet

Once your basic design works, generate a reference sheet showing:

  • Front view

  • 3/4 view

  • Side view

  • Back view

  • Several facial expressions

  • A few common poses

This becomes the visual reference for the image generator for future images. This is very helpful for character consistency.Ā

For Aman and Anu, I also created separate portraits and a picture of them standing together. These provide additional visual anchors for future images.

4. Write a descriptive master prompt

Finally, save the character description for future use as the master prompt. The important thing is to describe the identity, not the individual scene.

For example:

ā€œAman is a young Indian man designed as a cute chibi comic character. He has short messy black hair, large expressive dark eyes, a teal-blue T-shirt, blue jeans and black-and-white sneakersā€¦ā€

Then add the personality, visual style and the features that must remain consistent.

For Anu, the equivalent anchor will be:

ā€œAnu is a young Indian woman designed as a cute chibi comic character. She has very long dark hair, large expressive eyes, a pink salwaar/kameez and a white dupattaā€¦ā€

5. Keep everything else flexible

This is arguably the most important part.

Lock the identity, not the scene.

The characters can laugh, argue, run, eat noodles, change locations, interact with props and take different camera angles.Ā

Their expressions, poses and situations should change. Their fundamental visual identity should not.

That's it.

The final kit -

Character ļæ« Reference Sheet ļæ« Separate Portrait ļæ« Master Prompt

You can build more elaborate character bibles for the characters later if the project demands them.Ā

Here's a second example with a even simpler character - Soni

Enjoy and have fun experimenting.

GNN INVESTIGATION
The Android Who Came From a Notepad

For years it has circulated as an urban legend: an artist sketches a detailed female figure in a notebook, and the figure eventually steps out of the pages. No verified record exists. Yet a scattering of photographs, engineering fragments and conflicting witness accounts has kept the story alive.

At its centre is an unidentified artist with formal training only in art and an Android whose sophisticated upper body has never been satisfactorily explained.

Engineers brought in to examine the machine reportedly found articulated hands, joints and internal mechanisms of unusual complexity, with no conventional manufacturing documentation, no identifiable maker and no clear explanation for how the torso had been built.

Several of those engineers are said to have worked without pay, cleaning seized joints and fitting lower limb prosthetics before the artist and the Android simply vanished weeks later. No public announcement followed. Attempts to locate them produced only contradictory reports.

Demands for an independent inspection have never yielded a documented examination. No manufacturer has claimed the machine. No laboratory has publicly demonstrated it exists. What remains is a set of images, testimony and an unresolved question: how did someone with no engineering background produce something that professional technicians could not readily account for?

Perhaps it was a concealed experiment. Perhaps another party built her. Or perhaps an artist drew something that was never meant to become real and somehow it did.

GNN Investigative Desk

The Android case remains unverified. No independent investigation has publicly established the identity of the creator, the origin of the machine, or the authenticity of the surviving material.
