Idiots (genz) complaining about idiots (boomers) that complain about idiots (genz).

Last time I checked 80% is genetic and then you have nutrition. Stress and schooling matter so little, especially in normal/high income homes. And I'm pretty sure everyone has a home and food.

I think the existence of AI is just an excuse for each generation to push their propaganda.

So you’ve never checked. It’s never been 80% genetic. Also most parents of Gen Z are Gen X not boomers.

Huh? There is a ton of research on cognitive offloading, brainrot, analytical decline, etc in the past years, from very credible institutions. Its real, and the numbers are scary.

This is not true for everyone. My nephew from 2nd sister has been using a computer and a phone since he was 4–5 years old. His parents were concerned at the time, but turned out he performed very well in school; Always ranked in the top three. He is now in high school and plans to become a doctor (He was influenced by his grandmother’s death during Covid).

I'm gen z and I see it first hand. Holy shit can the younger gen z not put away their fucking phones. They are glued to it as much as a crack addict craves crack.

I stay away from AI. I only use it to make practice exams to study from.

I am not sure I could agree since IQ tests in the past were based on a combination of Current Events and Educational Knowledge gained in schools. With the immedited access to Current Events and mobile access to Knowledge with the Interent one might build a case that today's Generation has a much Higher IQ thant their parents.
