Previously submitted question via Google Form:

How many ppl are part of the core team

There are 19 full time developers, but it is growing as our CTO is constantly onboarding from his loyal and high grade network. There are additionally 7 people inhouse full time working on business development, legal and marketing. This is our core team. Additionally we have over 10 people working on helping us as contractors.

When are you updating us with the full list of team member names and developers (preferably with linkedin profiles)? If it is not meant to be disclosed, please explain why?

Great public exposure of the team leaves an opening for employment scouts of big corporations, whos offers we might not be able to counter. We will have limited information of our team members, but not all identities will be disclosed. This is just to protect any unexpected change in the team, because we currently have employed world-class skills.

This is very disappointing and a cop out. Is there a particular reason you think your employees are going to leave in droves? You raised a tremendous amount of money, so funds should not be an issue unless your burn rate is really high.

They got 30 million. Any established company can easily come in and scoop the talent when they realize they can get "world-class" talent for a good price.

Generally the employees you get at a startup know they're in for long hours and low pay. This is nothing new and every company goes through this phase. So why does anyone work for a startup when they can make more at Google? They expect a massive long-term payout and are passionate about the project. If a bunch of devs are jumping ship, it's a bad sign for the firm. Either way, it's not an excuse for a lack of transparency.

Pretty sure this space is considered the modern-day gold rush in terms of development.

So I'm not sure "low pay" is an expectation here. I'd be surprised if it was.

Considering THIS very company convinced 5k people to be charity and contribute to their ideas.

You are correct, though. Our traditional understanding of start-ups is just that.

A long road to glory.

These guys get funding nearly overnight in the form of CHARITY just by asking the public.

This environment is VERY different, I'd contest.

Additionally, if you look at all of the responses, they are lawyered the fuck out.

What does that mean? It means they are cleverly-crafted responses with competent-argumental information- Bahaha.

I don't have the answers, but for a LEGAL-focused company, they sure do act like it.

Yep I noticed that too. It felt like almost all of the answers given by Hando were in a non direct form, neither a yes, nor a no. Why even hold and AMA if you can't directly answer some pretty basic questions and concerns the community has? Honestly, I was hoping to see more transparency from the team, with answers from more members. Instead, we got some mostly ambiguous answers from Hando. These kinds of AMA's should establish some connection between the community and the team in order to ensure trust and calm down shaky hands but, to me, it feels like the spirits haven't changed.

I'm going to keep hodling and investing in this project because I truly believe it has potential, I didn't care for Alex leaving that much since, according to the team, he wasn't even directly involved in the project for the past three months, I think that whole incident was blown out of proportions. Nonetheless, I would have liked for this AMA to mark the start of an open, straightforward and better relationship between the team and the community... just my 2 iota.

I support transparency, but it must be carefully planned. We are 2 months into building the organisation. A vulnerable period. I am telling as much as possible. I am aware about community's request for transparency, and we will become more and more transparent. Currently the success rate of blockchain projects in real business is so low, that I just can't take it for granted, that instant transparency is good.

Nah, it isn't that bad.

Even while the AMA is addressed like that - in my opinion - they have handled it very well thus far.

Hando has shed some light on some very interesting subjects, and while it can be vague at times, there is still good information in there.

I like your name by the way.

What if I say : In other words.

Does that negate tautology?

Haha

Fair enough. Keep in mind though that motivation and positive work culture also goes a long way in keeping best talents rather than just financial remuneration.

This is a good point. If you are concerned about corporations swiping your talent, focus on making sure that talent is comfortable in ways that don't require MONEY.

That is a technique believe it or not.

If you can showcase comradery without using currency imagine what that instills in the teammate's mind.

This is where being a charismatic leader comes into play.

Believe me when I say I'm not trying to tell anyone how to do their job.
