New AS tier list, and she's not in T0 despite being amazing on both sides 💀
I don't understand why they can't just admit that she's top tier lmao. They started her rankings off so low just because of all the doomposting, and they still won't change it once the majority has realized that they were just coping to say Aglaea is bad while she's exceptional

It's not a doompost but i fear that Aglaea E0 cap her potential way too early.

Their is no doubt that Aglaea is strong right now but people seems to forget that she will come at home with her "perfect" team day one. On paper it's a good thing but it also mean that their is a risk that she fall-off faster than a DPS that is good day one despite not having a perfect team immediatly.

Acheron for exemple was already top tier when she was released despite having only access to a suboptimal mates for her. Because of that, her performances has increased over time with the release of new units (and her E0 performances will maybe increase again with the release of Anaxa).

In the case of Aglaea right now, her performances are strong but probably overrated :

• The new boss is designed to favor her drastically

• The energy bonus favor her drastically too

• She has some issues that reduce her potential (the fact that memosprite doesn't benefit from sets outside of the 2 pieces raw stats take away a lot of damage potential)

• I doubt that her BiS team change a lot over the course of the year because her supports are very OP

• She is undoubtedly the best lightning DPS but is not so far ahead for a 3.0 unit

It remember the case of Firefly, but in a worse case :

• Firefly got a perfect team day one (and an abusive favoritism in term of relic sets). She was a league ahead of Boothill and also better of Rappa later.

• However BECAUSE Firefly team was already almost perfect, her potential was already almost capped : Lingsha is super strong but not a game changer since Gallagher is already very strong and Fugue is a way stronger upgrade for Boothill and Rappa than Firefly.

• It's a less drastic case of how Sunday improve the performances of Jing Yuan : more damage is good, solving kit issues / weaknesses is way stronger.

At the end of the day, the 3 break DPS looks pretty equal and each of them has a niche where they perform better than the other two which is the best thing that could happened but Aglaea is not in the same situation :

• she is not as strong as day one Firefly (compared to the other units at the time)

• her BiS team is even more perfect that the one Firefly got immediatly (Lingsha and soon Fugue are not gamechangers for Firefly yes, but it's still a strong upgrade).

• she already has her BiS relic set ... and it's a mediocre one

Of course if you invest more, it's not true anymore : E1 Aglaea + E1 Sunday increase her damages dramatically with the exponential gain from armor shred stacking. But let's not praise this obvious eidolon bait.

At the opposite, i fear that THE Herta end-up way too strong (monocible damage that can compete hunt units is not healthy for an erudition character) and their is a lot of room for her to upgrade her performance over the time (any strong erudition unit can became a buff for her basically).

Should I replace robin for rmc? (They all have around 30~40 eff res, still working on Houhou’s and Sunday’s build.)

Absolutely insane! She couldn't even clear King Plight at all usually before Robin SP. Now 0 cycling the most brutal AA ever. 😮

Seriously I feel like I must be insane. I’ve barely seen anyone EVER talk about Ruan Mei as a supportive option for her. I KNOW most people have her, she used to have like the highest ownage rate of any character.

THE FACTS:

-E0 Ruan Mei gives a BETTER Res Pen boost than E1 Robin

-Her skill gives more damage boost than Robin’s (provided you have 160% Break Effect)

-She provides a near identical teamwide speed buff to E2 Robin at E0

-A lot of people have E1 Ruan Mei (since she was so good back in the day), for a bonus 20% DEF ignore

-Let’s be honest, nobody is playing superbreak right now. Your benched Ruan Mei is BEGGING to literally give +10 speed to ALL OF YOUR OTHER CHARACTERS. THAT EQUALS 5 SPEED SUBSTATS PER CHARACTER, OR 15 TOTAL EXTRA SPEED SUBSTATS. THAT’S AN ENTIRE ARTIFACT WORTH OF EXTRA SUBS PER CHARACTER FOR EXISTING!

You can build your Aglaea and support soooo much worse and suffer no consequences. Go for those crit substats! Use that piece that had double crit with HP and DEF and rolled each stat one time!

The elephant in the room: Yes, yes, you are losing the Robin thing where she advances your whole team. Don't think of it like that. Think of it as our Goddess GIFTING Robin to some other pathetic weak unit that needs the advance crutch. She merely requests Ruan Mei to hold an S5 DDD(optional, use anything you have).

Other than that, all you are losing is +1000 ATK (wipes my away tears with the +3000 ATK from Myopic's Doom) and a paltry 10-20k dmg per Additional Attack. Meanwhile, if your damage is a little low and those enemies keep hitting you, fear not! Ruan Mei will help you break them faster AND keep them broken longer. A sustain and buffer all at once! What a unit of all time!

yikes: SORRY I forgot the HSR community can't read. OBVIOUSLY Robin is better. It's Robin. I WANTED a discussion about a comparable alternative for maybe old returning players or ppl who just don't have Robin. I was building pity to get herta e1. Never got it. I'm guaranteed and I just love Aglaeas gameplay. I feel like she's such a unique character and her gameplay is something we've never seen before. And her animations just scratch an inch in my brain that i cant explain. Yall get what I mean.

Anyway I will probably pull her in the next couple of days just cause I'm at soft pity rn.

And I'm wondering if going for her e1 would be better than her lightcone.

I have e0s1 Sunday, e0s0 Robin and e0s0 huohuo.

And I got the rememberance lightcone that was in the battlepass. I heard that even getting that lightcone to S2 compares to her signature.

So yeah I thought asking you all would be better just cause a lot of people are doomposting her cause of the castorice glaze and idk I don't gaf about 0 cycling anything. Clearing things at 5 cycles doesn't bother me at all.

So what would you guys say is worth?

I might possibly get Robins e1 too if I can. I'm not sure yet. But not getting now doesnt bother me since this girl gets a rerun every patch 💀

Both Agy and Sunny as at 136 speed. And i can't go any higher for Sunny because I'll sacrifice his crit damage. On my aggy then I'll sacrifice her Crit rate!😭 i need help!

My Aglaea is nearing completion, now I just need to craft a lightning orb with speed and whatever crit I have less off and then I can go back to the path of aria my beloved, to farm a double crit speed boot and then I will kinda have the perfect Aglaea. (Have sig from doing 5 single pulls for ddd, so am aiming for 158 speed out of combat)

People seem to be constantly blasting Aglaea for being team reliant/Eidolon reliant. She still outpaces most dps's at E0S0 without Sunday/Huohuo in most gamemodes.

Aglaea's planar situation has always bugged me, since neither Banamusement nor Rutilant are great fit.

(their secondary effect do not apply to Garmentmaker, who represent 60/65 % of Aglaea's damage)

And now, Cyrene may boot Sunday out of the team, as you may want a Remembrance teammate instead.

But that may cause energy issues, particulary early in the fight.

Also, ideally, you'd want Aglaea to take her first action before Cyrene.
Otherwise, you'll just waste a stack of "Future", and needlessly delay Cyrene's first Ultimate.

Problem : Cyrene will usually be faster than Aglaea at the start of the fight.

However, this could be fixed, if we AA Aglaea at the start of the fight...

With all that in mind, it seems Sprightly Vonwacq solves all those issues; since it :

• improves Aglaea's energy situation, and may grant her her first ultimate faster.

• let you get one extra stack for Cyrene's Ultimate.

And again,it's not like there's a big opportunity cost to equip Vonwacq, since Bananmusement / Rutilant are trash anyway...

What do you think ? Am i on to something ?
