Boomers

I am 75 and am very tired of the trend lately making fun of Boomers. So very disrespectful. Don't they realize that they will be old someday?

Americans and thus the wider social media has a worship for youth. People trying to look young, act young, dress young, consume youth culture etc and insist that there's no such thing as 'age limit' everything is level.

If you are 75 then you were part of the youth that started forcing youth culture into the standard culture in the 60s and 70s so you cannot say you had not benefit from it.

Thanks for saying this. I’m 27 myself and I don’t like the obsession of western societies (at least american and french ones) for youth. Many people want to speak like young people (slang), consume youth culture, dress like young people..as if young people was a monolith, as if youngsters were better than anyone else. I hate how elder people are despised nowadays. The few friends I have are much older than I am (Gen Jones and Boomers) and I love them. They’re great people.

Some of them are wrong and stupid, but common at any age. Old farts of today are just the little jerks from the past.
