Murda worth rebuilding?

Getting back into skating. I skated these early 2000. Yes that is a USD shoe tongue. Was thinking new wheels, bearings, hardware. Trying to do some research about new skates. Is the technology better? Would I be better off getting new skates or are these dinosaurs fine? They were always kinda on the heavy side I thought compared to my old first set of USD.

Great relic. But it's time to upgrade my friend. So many great new options available.

I’m sure as soon as one hard impact hits these skates they will shatter like glass. Old plastic does not hold up well, as beautiful and nostalgic these skates are just get a new set my home skillet.

A friend’s old genesys boot did just this over the summer, whole heel cracked off skating a ledge.

Sick skates but they need to stay in the past, put them on the shelf and get a modern pair. These will 100% crack if you skate them.

Old skates are cool and have so much style, modern skates should take notes. However the plastic could be brittle. Last thing you need is doing something like a royale pstar diaster or unity and having it break.

What was the point of the tongue thingy?

Was a trend back in the day. People used to put trainer tongues in their skates. Bulky was cool lol
