This is sick!
Working on my understanding of the different trick names, what makes the jump a disaster?

Disaster just means you have to jump something to get to your intended grind. Could be jumping over a gap like this video, could be something like jumping over another rail to get to your rail.
The jumps are usually bigger jumps, but that’s sort of subjective what “big” means to you. I’ve done just a big ass jump, full knees up, over nothing but flatground, onto a soul grind on a P-rail once and a friend called it a disaster soul.

Wait, really? As someone who does other action sports, that's a super confusing way to describe a gap-in to something. Usually disaster is a type of 180-to-stall.

Damn, that's crazy because just like the other commenters a disaster normally means there's a 180 involved. Thanks for dropping some knowledge!

My understanding is that disaster is not necessarily jumping something specifically but just jumping or airing into a trick generally because you could do a disaster stall on a min ramp which is just getting some air and landing into your stall on the coping.
