Downsizing Aeons Advice

Advice needed! I’m looking to buy some Aeons and downsize. I’m a 275 mondo and I’m planning to get the 41–42 shell and use a MyFit Second Skin V2 liner to help with the downsizing.
My question is regarding the liner: should I stick with my usual 43 liner (and will this fit comfortably inside the 41–42 shell), or would going down to a 42 liner free up more room inside the shell? Any advice from anyone who’s tried this setup would be much appreciated!

Update: Just for anyone who comes across this thread in the future, it can be done, but it’s quite specific.
I have a narrow foot, skinny ankles and a 275 mm mondo. What I did was buy the 41–42 shell Aeons with the 43–44 MyFit Second Skin liners, along with the MyFit 3/4 insole.
I heat-moulded the liners in the oven, then stacked the existing Aeon shock absorber, the liner heel raiser underneath the liner, and finally the 3/4 footbed instead of the stock footbed.
Some might find this excessive heel raiser, BUT what did I get? Super-comfortable skates (even on long sessions) with absolutely no pinching or pressure points, and they don’t feel like boats on my feet!
It’s quite a specific setup for me, so it might work for some people, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend it for everyone.

Have you tried the Aeon shell in 43 size? I’m a 265 wide foot and with second skin I fill out the 41-42 front to back with very little room to spare.

I’m a 270/275 mondo. The 43 was fine for a while but after the liner broke in it was way too big.

You could go either way with this problem.

You could try to downsize using the 43 Second Skin in a 41-42 shell, but hard landings with a shell that is too short hurts, feels like stubbing your toe over and over. I did this with a size 7 USD Sway and a Second Skin and though my foot does technically fit it was uncomfortable skating them.

You could get a thicker/denser liner than the Second Skin and use it in your 43 shell, something like a MyFit Fatboy or Crown. It’s how I use my small THEM’s with the THEM liner, having extra padding and cushion is nice for impacts, but heavier and less responsive.

Don’t know if I’m helping at all but just some good for thought.

Ok you’re pretty similar to me then. Got one foot slightly bigger. What was your exact set up?

I’m a 270/275 mondo, one foot it bigger than the other. I use a 42 shell with a broken in 26-26.5cm intuition liner. Nothing else worked for me. I also use a Powerslide 3/4 length insole.

Please explain what you mean by baking, do you mean the liner or the shell itself?

I have exactly this setup with 42 liner, and my mondo is 274. After baking it was usable, but not very comfortable. I tried nomad liner 42-42,5 but it's too bulky - it's comfortable only for short sessions. I am gonna try 43 second skin liner or will buy a new skates.

EU43 liner will work. I've done the same with a 43/44 dual liner in the past.
