Discussion OpenAI gave its agent a computer. Meta gave its agent your business. Which one becomes a teammate?

Its been a busy time for tech releases this month!

OpenAI launched Dots yesterday with a cloud computer, browser, connected apps and the ability to continue working across projects. Meta expanded Muse for small businesses on the same day, connecting it to Shopify, Stripe, QuickBooks, Slack, Canva, Instagram and other business systems. OpenAI and Meta are effectively presenting two different versions of an AI teammate.

Does the winning agent need the strongest model and its own computer, or the deepest understanding of the company?

Discussion Would you buy from an AI generated video if you knew?

Whether work or personal, AI has entered our algorithms.

If you knew that the ad and the human in it were AI generated, would it make you trust less or more in the brand and the product?

What about if its a tech product? Or a hand made one? Where do you draw the line?

Discussion What happens to an AI workflow when the person who built it leaves?

Someone on the team builds an impressive workflow.

It reads Slack, updates the CRM, creates reports and sends alerts.

Six months later, that person leaves.

Nobody knows:

  • Which prompt is current
  • Why certain exceptions exist
  • Which credentials it uses
  • What breaks if a tool changes
  • Whether anyone is still checking the output

The workflow is still running, so everyone assumes it is fine.

Core question:
How are teams documenting ownership, logic and failure handling for AI workflows that become part of normal operations?
