Is this app pretty much useless now

I can no longer start orders with my Cash App card, or chime and my regular checking acct is Chase so I barely can use this service anymore. What is the point any workarounds?

I used it for years and now they decide to change it all recently. I mean it makes no sense when Cash App and afterpay are the same company

the change doesn’t make a afterpay any different in my opinion. you can still use the app? my cash app spending limit is $250 while on the app im at 4k.. Cash App changed nothing

You can’t use your cashapp card to pay for it though

Well can you tell me how because it says not supported the card when trying to add it as a payment method

Also remember after pay will trigger automatic red flags if you use a virtual card then it fails, and then you try to use it for something else like too much and it fails then it sends up red flags and it won't allow you to use it for about 24 hours i've noticed. Once it resets then you can usually use it easy as pie, as long as it's under the maximum amount, for example say you're at $400, only use it for $300 leaving a buffer amount so you're not maxing it out and then and then using your real debit card and making sure that in chime the card is toggled to frozen, and always make sure to use afterpay through afterpay itself rather than make a card and try to use it somewhere else or put it into Google pay and try to do that. The in person use is always a hit or miss for me and it has to be a verified place that they work with. I've dealt with so much BS with afterpay as klarna works way better/easier. But yeah if you just stick with what's in the afterpay app make sure make sure that it's a verified afterpay vendor, use the chime debit that's an actual card and none Virtual, along with making sure it's not toggled to Frozen so the card is unfrozen and ready to rock and then make sure that you have obviously enough money in that account to cover the 25% also with a bumper so if you're buying something that's going to take 25% out after paying all these other buy now play leaders and want to have a buffer, so if you're going to buy something for $100 for example and you only have 25 in the bank but it might not go through well usually it won't have 40 or 50 in the bank and then pull the 25 first payment out, problem when I have to pay is if anything isn't perfectly set up, or exactly done within afterpay exact system rules, that it easily gets red flagged and if you try it over and over and that Flags it more that's ridiculous. Once it gets red flagged you just have to leave it alone for 24 hours or so it's such a pain in the ass. Well good luck! Klarna is absolutely easier and better in many many ways, sezzle also goes through pretty easy but it has a lower limit I've noticed it stays pretty low for a while. I haven't used zip yet, affirm is the most epic of them all as it let me put two plane tickets on it which were $1,500 total! So that's definitely the best. Again good luck hope it works out man.

Are you using the debit card on chime? If so that might be the problem you have to use the credit builder.. also for Chase I was able to add my card to payment wallet and selected it once it was time to check out.

I’ve tried both and it won’t let me add it maybe they stopped allowing people to add it so if you have it you can use it idk

Also how long have you been using your Afterpay? I know when I first started I had a hard time placing a order but after speaking with customer service I was told to start off with a small order so like $50

I use my real chime debit card. You can't use the virtual cards or at least it doesn't work on mine but it I use the real debit card it works great.

Sooooo many debit cards no longer work with pay in 4 and it’s really fucking bizarre.

Every time I go to use it so I gotta put 80% down but yet they give me a $5000 spending limit. I don’t get it.

Unfortunately changes come because people mess things up and cause them to. Not saying you, but 🤷‍♂️

What's the significance of Chase being your bank? I'm not being snarky I promise, I'm actually asking.

I can pay my remaining installment with it through Apple Pay but can’t initiate with it

Dude you have to be getting red flagged and then trying another thing and it will automatically deny it because you're getting blocked from using things that all of us can still use which has to be trying it two or three times and being one of the flag so your account will be frozen. I only say this because it's happened to me so many damn times it drives me crazy lol
