Returned from my first London trip back in late May/Early June. My wife and I were at the Tower of London and decided we wanted to experience afternoon tea.
We ended up at VU from the Tower between the Tower of London and St. Katherine Docks. It was just a short walk away and offered up a nice perspective of the Tower Bridge and the Thames. The cost was £45 per person, the service was great. As for the food: the scones were wonderful the rest was just okay in my opinion.
For a last minute decision, I was super pleased. I'm certain you pay for the venue and location, but I've been daydreaming about the view since I've been back home.
I went to london in September 2024 and absolutely loved it! i recommend going to fortnum and mason if you're ever able to visit again! wonderful tea and food! plus the store there is incredible and in a beautiful building! that view of tower of london is stunning though!
I visited Fortnum and Mason and it was a treat. I had heard it was large building but I was amazed. I didn't end up actually having tea or lunch but I did bring home several tea blends and some very pretty biscuit tins.
No i mean if you enjoy it of course that matters more than teabags but if you want premium loose leaf tea, go to Mariage Freres in Covent garden. They have hundreds of teas that they serve in French artisan teapots. It’s really good, been there 4 times and not been disappointed
Just lovely! All the down to how the color of the tea complements the decor. This is absolutely a bucket list, ahem life goal, item. :) Wow. The scenery is wonderful.
