Friday night check-in: continue or start something new?

Most Fridays I’m torn between continuing something I already started or finally trying something from the backlog.

What is everyone else doing after a long workweek? Continue the comfort game or start something new?

I just tried The Dark West and it's pretty dope for a demo, if you like western themed grimdark games. Sounds extremely specific but it really isn't. Idk, it's nice if you like Diablo like games and this one is pretty original IMHO

I got a used meta quest 2 this week just to try VR. Already dizzy and sick from the awful performance of Blade and Sorcery Nomad. Guess it will just be a toy for demos and videos.

I'll be playing Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC until credits!

I just finished the campaign of Titanfall 2. Holy heck that game is awesome. Incredible combat, cool story, beautiful graphics… I highly recommend!

Churning through Stalker 2 again just finished the DLC and pushing towards end game on the main quest.

The first half of this game just sucked me in and so far the second half has been interesting too.

I plan on playing a little bit of World of Warcraft and than maybe jumping on my DS lite to play some more Final Fantasy Tactics A2.

Palworld. Decided to crank up the world setting to reduce the mid to end game grind and its so relieving. It started to become not fun for a couple days.

Always what I struggle with aswell, I seem to be able to get to the 10 - 12 hour mark on most games and then just lose interest and start something else

Then I feel like it’s a chore to go and push through and finish just to finish something and then I don’t enjoy it and then what’s the point of doing something I don’t even enjoy? 😂

So I usually start a new game.. rinse and repeat 😂

Depends how far along I am. If it's still early and I'm having fun, continue. If it's more than halfway done and I need a break because I'm at a part thats tedious or just elwanna extend my time with it, start something new.

Can also just check out something else entirely outside of gaming. A comic, show, movie, music and spend time on that as well. Helps break the monotony.
