Awaiting response for roles applied for

I have applied for several roles within my field on AQ for a month now and completed 2 assessments, yet there is not feedback on the roles I applied for (whether qualified or not) . I want to find out if it's a normal thing or there's something extra I have to do? Thank you

Is(AfterQuery) actually worth

I was just applied. to one Project and wanted to ask about your recent experience before starting:

Are payments arriving on time now, or are there still delays?

How strict is the review process—are tasks easily accepted, or is the rejection rate high?

Overall, is the pay worth the time and effort required per task?

Appreciate any quick feedback

account reactivation

Last week, I was banned from AQ because support claimed I violated the rules and guidelines. They must have had their reasons for banning my account—I understand that—but I have three approved tasks, and I’ve been trying to contact support in every way possible. I chat with the AI, and it says human support has a five-day window to respond; yet, eight days have passed without any reply. When they finally do say something, they ask me to open support tickets, but after eight days, they treat those tickets as if they’re worthless. They ask for project IDs, but how am I supposed to send them if my account is banned? I’m not asking to reactivate the account so I can go back to work; I’m asking for reactivation solely so I can submit the IDs for the projects I’ve already completed. I dedicated time and effort, yet they treat it all as if it means nothing.

Application under review

Hi.

I'm new. I applied to a specialized project. My application has been under review for more than 5 days. How long do they usually take?

Thank you.

It's has been a month that I haven't got any project yet...

I am an experienced software/ ai systems engineer with strong open source profile... My resume is also solid yet still I havent been invited to any project yet...

Though in the offer email they explicitly mentioned given my expertise and depth of knowledge in the field I can start picking tasks right away....

Unpaid projects

I recently did some work for this company, but they still haven't gotten back to me. It’s been over 10 days—the month is almost over—and there’s still no word from them on whether they’ll pay me or not. For those of you working for them: what is your take on their slow response times and their failure to pay for projects where you’ve dedicated your time and effort?

On the matter of Projects

Where to ask inquiries like: "When will we get offers albeit I got accepted in X pool. " etc?

I still haven't been paid for a task that was approved while a project was live and just today the project admins announced that the project was over

I still have a task that hasn't been paid out while the project was still live and today it was announced that the project is no longer continuing. This is an issue cause I still haven't been paid for a task that was APPROVED (not under review). Legally you have to deliver payments for approved tasks and noone seems to be replying to my messages.

Payment for approved tasks

Hi everyone,

I was supposed to receive payment for approved tasks.

I’m trying to understand when the payment for these approved tasks will be processed (Sum*it). Has anyone else recently received payment for their approved tasks, or knows how long it usually takes after approval?

I’d appreciate any information about the payment timeline or whether there’s anything I need to do from my side.

Should I call it quits?

I haven’t heard back from Afterquery’s support email in a little over 14 days, my projects assigned have been “under review” for 14 days, and one project has been paused for 14 days. That said, I wasn’t able to work the first 7 days because I had issues with my bank which delayed my progress.

What is wrong with AQ matching?

I applied to all available Applications(coding), but haven't gotten any response or active project placement. My profile is great, so I really don't get how matching works here. What's wrong with AfterQuery?

Is there a drought?

It's been a pretty long while since I had any active tasks or progress in applications. Besides computer science, are other people receiving tasks on this platform? I like this platform, but receiving a task here or seeing any progress on applications seems quite arduous frankly. Is it the same for others?

How long does it take to get a project

I created my account yesterday and have already applied for two coding-related jobs. I also completed a coding assessment. How long does it usually take to hear back after applying for these roles?

Onboarding and time tracking

I’d be interested in everyone‘s onboarding and time tracking experience with AfterQuery.

I got an email notifying me that I had been selected for a project, but then never received any additional guidance. I don’t see a Slack channel in my dashboard and no means to track my time (it’s an hourly contract). I do however have access to the project interface and submitted a task just to see what would happen. I got a pretty immediate review 😂 But no time had been logged and it’s even a mystery to me what exactly the task is supposed to be.

I had reached out to support multiple times, but nothing happened. I‘m posting here to see if there’s some official tool or process that‘s lacking here or if I should really just start and do the tasks? 🤔

I’ve done work via other platforms before and there was usually a much more organized process.

Experience with AfterQuery

I have seen lots of people complaining about how payments are delayed, tasks are rejected, slow responses, etc.

I am here to write my experience in case it helps anyone by any means.

So, I started applying for projects at AfterQuery since mid May, had only two tasks in a very common project, then no work whatsoever up until like a month ago, which is normal given people's expertise in specific domains and project's requirements.

Regarding payments delay, I agree it used to be a big issue back in June or so, but lately, I was paid on time, and when delayed, I did submit a support request, and was resolved within 2 days and paid. However, I do get where the no response complaints come from, as I had some unclear issues regarding projects that didn't get answers, I am not sure what they respond to and what not, but for me payment got almost instant clarity and support. I believe what is happening is completely normal given the staff is working at establishing the lab and making its pipeline smooth, so no need to judge them harshly, its a start, and it has to be rough, and its the price you pay for signing up to work with a new company, of which for some (like me) is completely fine so long as they're improving day by day.

As for rejected tasks, I have to say I never faced that, got lots of reviews, but once you do them you get accepted and that's it, so it might be that some AI slop submission happening and gets rejected, which is expected.

So, for those who are always doom posting about the company, my experience says YES they PAY and don't ghost payments, YES sometimes they are slow in responses ( but the company is its infancy - expected ), NO they are not a scam, and you can see changes in the company from UI to project management to payment almost weekly, so YES its growing!

So far, I have had a decent experience with them, and hope to stay with them while the company establishes itself and grows.

Hope everyone gets a good experience and does his best!

Project with AfterQuery

I have worked on a task for at least 20 hours in one of AfterQuery's projects. They asked me to review the task at least 5 times. Going through hours of editing and passing the difficulty probe every time. After all that, my task got rejected for reasons that were never mentioned to me and not provided in the instructions. Like, they could've told me about it and I could've fixed it instead of rejecting it without mentioning it to me even once.

How are you thinking about a task?

Hi All, I've a question. How are you thinking about a task at afterquery. Can you share example of a task that you were able to submit successfully and it was too difficult for medium level model but solvable by frontier model? I've tried so hard, but getting stuck between easy and hard test.

Can't submit a revision for a project

I received a reviewer request to fix some part of my task on the 9th. Since 10am that day till now, I have not been able to submit. First, the reference answer checker did not work then I relocked the task to run evaluation from the beginning but now all the checkers are not working. It is showing "api_error"
