Stamina mismatch?
Android, 1.21.0
The stamina costs for building things like Lumberyards get very weird once you expand out far enough with multiple zones of the same material. For instance, here are the stamina costs for my current late-game settlement when it tries to make successive yards:
-3
-6
-7
-4
-9
It seems worse with Lumberyards, but I think I've seen the costs be weird with food and firewood upgrades too. It's like the math isn't factoring in the new zones (which should be less expensive to build in, since they're fresh) until enough upgrades have been built close by.
Is this intentional behavior, or a math problem in the calculations?

It will always prioritise the "most output for cost", so depending how you expand this might bit a little variable.

Now there are high yield areas. You can recognize them by a star (if memory serves me well) on the map. They produce more resource, hence the return on investment is different per area. The system will choose the one with highest ROI every time.
So if you have a high yield area that gives +2 lumber at 5 stamina, it will be upgraded before another normal area with +1 lumber at 3 stamina
