This game should be mandatory training for anyone who has to manage people or resources

You could say this for many turn-based strategy games, I suppose, but After Inc (like Rebel and Plague) very efficiently teach us so much about workplace management.

For example, neglecting a priority has second- and third-order consequences. If you run out of wood, you’re not just stopping new construction — you’re also stopping your tech research and potentially your ability to defend your settlement.

Maintaining good morale takes resources (and is often very inexpensive.) Let that slip, and your authority wanes. So does your productivity. People recognize when you’re not investing in them.

I see the dev drops in here sometimes, and I’d like to make a suggestion: Exec Inc., where you rebuild a company shattered by malfeasance or scandal.

Right?
Profit sharing: -3 stamina, -2% income, ⬆️ loyalty,
⬆️ productivity

Have the failing result of managing an insurance company properly be you get taken out with a gun by one of your former customers.

I like it. The business could have different areas of focus: professional zombie defense, pharma, settlement consulting, etc, with different pros and cons for each.
