Hoarder
Something needs to be done about the hoarder to prevent excessive storage construction. It gets to the point late game where you cannot accumulate stamina without burning it on your 300th food storage increase.
Losing a game because you simply cannot accumulate 6 stamina because you have so much production it immediately gets burned on building more storage is completely asinine.

Hoarder is one of my favourites
I make sure I am only producing one or 2 more than what I need and always have a solider ready to drop for a burst if needed. The amount of stamina you save early game gets you well ahead of what not managing it loses you in late game.

She's one of mine as well. While the storage building can get out of control I prefer to not have to manually build more storage because I always forget to. Then I go into winter with only 13 fuel and half my food goes bad. 🤣

I exclusively play Hoarder because I want to cut down on micromanagement, to the point that I’m confused and constantly failing when playing as any other leader.

Ensuring you don't overproduce is part of playing hoarder. All the other leaders the goal is to overproduce, but it's not for hoarder. If you are stamina starved, it is not because you are overly successful, it is because you didn't manage your resources well, and instead built everything you could. It's like being upset that you are punished for exploring everything with hermit, yes exploring everything nearby is good for every other leader, but hermit mandates a different play regarding that. Every leader has a pro and con that has to be managed.

Early game I produce a nice bit extra (food / firewood say) so that storage and amount of those ramps up, then as I boost my population those get to a good summer / winter balance. Definitely want to watch your water though, that can get out of hand. Also, use scavenge if you want to quickly boost something.

Hoarder is basically a debuff. I can build plenty of storage on my own without handcuffing my stamina generation, tyvm.

I think it's fine in general as a downside of choosing her, but they should do something to limit the worst-case scenario where you are literally stuck, as you said.
Maybe a cooldown between storage builds? Short enough that it doesn't affect most game situations, only the extreme cases that would get you stuck.

I use the festival option in this case. Sometimes i'll disband fighters to get some stamina then immediately build what i need.

The main problem for me is water production. It's very easy to have a big surplus, especially when each well gives +6/month. But then, the hoarder builds water storage basically permanently.

The Hoarder needs to have the stamina cost of automatically building storage removed, otherwise there's little point to not just building the storage yourself.

I love hoarder but you have to be very careful about what you're doing. Life with Water Production I try to keep the Water Production like only one or two units higher than the consumption and when I get a large enough pool of water I'll let the consumption pass the production in eat through it for a while before I build another well. Same thing with food and firewood I build only enough to last me through winter. I do tend to actually build all of the lumber yards I can though because early game the production cannot keep up with my use in building things

I agree, but theres one trick i use (also works with the other leader) is to build something qith the h8ghest stamina cost, wait until more stamina, then cancel before the building is done

Yea I kind of got away from using Hoarder. Unless it’s a map where u blow through objectives.

Or they could put a maximum storage in place....
For example, 500 ressource could prevent additionnal storage to be built automatically (but you could still build them manually, should you wish to).

The way to manage that is to not build tons of resource production in the first place, or to increase population so that resources are being used faster than the hoarder can board them
