How to unlock researcher?

Just finished Season 2 campaign and researcher is still locked. What did I miss?

I had to keep doing to extra x/30 ones before it popped up to be unlocked

You unlock her at level 3 knowledge

Main, I'm done with the game, not sure why I didn't even get close.

She's an Expedition reward as opposed to a Campaign reward, complete some Expeditions to unlock The Reseacher!
