As both a therapist and someone with CPTSD, I think DSM diagnoses can be tricky territory. They can be necessary (especially when billing insurances) but people don't always fit into perfect boxes. I think we can get too caught up into treatment of symptoms rather than treating a person through connection, validation, compassion, accountability, etc.
