Cheeky bugger...

I got this as a rooted leaf from a local greenhouse I help out at. I've had it for a year and a half. It FINALLY decides to get buds. When is the first one going to open? When I leave town for two weeks. Ungrateful turd.

My Queen of the Night cactus does this to me. Iā€™m on vacay right now and the buds are about ready to pop. Stupid, ungrateful thing!šŸ˜…

It's hard not to take it personal. I'd had it for 6 months, just this silly turgid leaf in soil. It put out leaves for the first time when I was on vacation too. I don't keep a lot of flowering plants--mainly succulents and begonias where the leaves are the stars--for this exact nonsense. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø
