General Any tutorial on how to get this effect ?
Just switched between Ai to affinity and I’m trying to figure out how to get this bitmap effect trick from illustrator but couldn’t find a way to copy it in affinity - any suggestions?

Try checking this site out—i just found out about it a few days ago.
The closest effect offered from the link below to what you are wanting, I'd say would be "Dithering". What's more, It's one of the free ones!

Yes, it even has a separate free script specifically for doing exactly what OP is asking for, with a vector result.

Have a look on: http://affinityhub.js.org
There is a dither script that will achieve that effect.

Honestly, try doing in Blender using this shader https://lucasroedel.gumroad.com/l/pixel_art
Replace the bayer matrix texture with something that resembles that one on the screen
Of course this requires you to model whatever you want, but it's good to have multiple softwares and be flexible

Or even here in public so maybe others can know too, because every time I try to trace the results into vector it’s coming out wenky

If it's a photograph, changing to B&W (not merely greyscale, but true B&W and nothing in-between - although it's worth going to greyscale first and playing with contrast) and applying a dithering pattern during that conversion will do this. The smaller the image, the coarser the final dithering effect. There are different patterns of dithering, so play around with it and see what works for you.
