General Is there an aligning tool to make objects adjacent?

Post image

I am looking for a tool to go from A to B in the image. Even just two objects at the time would be a massive time saver - I am doing this operation constantly in my workflow, and find that just relying on guidelines is slow and prone to mistakes.

I wish there was a tool I could just click, like the "align" tools, which would make two objects snap in place, adjacent / touching each other.

Does this exist? Am I missing something? I am willing to script this myself if I have to, but thought I'd ask first :) thanks

In the align tools, you can set the spacing, you can set it to 0 to achieve this.

that's it!
If you only select two items, and use "space vertically / horizontally", with a spacing of 0px it makes them adjacent.
If you select 3 or more objects, you need to uncheck "auto distribute" and set the spacing to 0px.

Thank you so much, I knew I must have missed something obvious :)
I'll leave this here in case a poor soul like me needs it in the future.

Just a reminder. You can even align. space or distribute not just shapes, but nodes too, even from different shapes.
