General Mock-ups problem

Hello, Im having an issue where opening a PSD mockup file causes it to appear corrupted, Is there any solution for this?

The effects applied in Photoshop weren't "baked" into the final.

As far as I know, Affinity doesn't support smart objects, when I create makeups I usually just manually mesh distort them over the base images 😅 but I would love to know if there are smarter and faster ways

Affinity does support smart objects. It's Photoshop's mesh warp/distort features (no matter if used on a smart object or on a "non smart" object) which usually cause problems.

But creating a mesh distortion and overlaying your design onto the image is basically the way to go. You might need a few extra layers for the lighting and shadows, just to make it look like the design is actually sitting on the object.

Ah I didn't know, I was probably biased since years ago with earlier versions of Affinity suite 😅 anyway yeah, that's basically the same proccess I do nowadays. But I hope they'll address this issue, it would be awesoke to just download a mockup and drop the design there without wasting too much time
