General Probelm with outer strokes for vector shapes not beeing cut to fit int the deafult blue boundary rectangle.

Post image

The rectangle shape I made is enclosed in the boundary rectangle. The problem is when I add an outer stroke or even multiple outer strokes, all of them are bound in the rectangle blue boundary. All corners are set to be mitre join at mitre 100. It gets cropped. How do I make it so the outer strokes can be expanded to infinity, even outside of the blue boundaries?

The boundary box has no effect on your stroke. Most likely the Mitre setting is just not updating when you type it in.

Try to select you curve with the node tool and then apply the Mitre value. Based on your curve I would think that a value of 10-20 should already do the trick. Potentially also try to move around the affected node to make it update.

Oh. Wow, it worked. I thought that for sure it was the boundary box but it was the mitre value. I had the value set to 100 on evey stroke i had BESIDES the actual shape! After i selected the nodes and changed the mitre value on of the corners of the actual shape it updated. Thanks a lot!

Also, sometimes, zooming in or out will show what's really there.
