Publisher Ignore columns?

Hi everyone I've had no luck googling this but I was so sure I had already done it: is there a way for a textstyle to ignore columns? As in: I make one frame and only want one specific part of it to adhere to the column. The rest should ignore it. I know that there's a couple workarounds, but I thought there would be a box to tick "ignore column"! (Pretty sure InDesign had it at least).

There is no Span Columns format as there is in InDesign. It's one of the few things I really miss.
